Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest Triple Time Thank You Card

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!

So – before we hit it – I want to give you a quick update on a really popular Sale-a-Bration freebie: the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes.  Bad news – they’re sold out – and I suspect they won’t be back.  So that milk is spilled – that horse is out of the barn.  The moral here is that…if there’s something you LOVE (Rings of Love DSP – hint hint) – then you need to be taking steps to be able to order those NOW!!

Now – let’s talk card!  This one uses the so so pretty Apple Harvest stamp set from the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog!  And I’ve dug out the Triple Time Technique and…Clear Wink of Stella “watercoloring”, too!  Take a look see:

I love doing Triple Time cards – they’re so easy but…they LOOK not-easy!

I started by stacking three panels of Basic White card stock on my workstation.  I used a non-Stampin’ Up! repositionable tape runner to keep things in place.

I stamped the sentiment from Apple Harvest in Sweet Sorbet in the bottom right corner of the smallest, center panel.

Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped the largest image in the set three times on the card front.  And I gave it a few seconds to dry – remember that this Memento ink takes a little extra beat to dry!

I colored the image with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, picking up ink from acrylic blocks that I’d squished into my ink pads to act as palettes.

The apples are Sweet Sorbet, the leaves Old Olive and the stems are Soft Suede.  Using the Wink of Stella creates instant shine and shimmer! 🙂

When all the coloring was done, I adhered each of the panels to a Petal Pink mat using Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to return the two smaller panels to their original positions – just making sure to align the stamped images.  Easy peasy!

I added a single Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dot next to the sentiment and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the single apple image in Tuxedo Black and colored it with the Wink of Stella brush.  I added the fun grid image a couple times in Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Sweet Sorbet card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the single Apple Harvest image and Petal Pink grid marks on the front…

…and some Petal Pink Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh – I love this Apple Harvest stamp set, don’t you?  And I think it’s especially pretty colored with a Wink of Stella brush – you could also do “regular” water coloring using Water Painters.  Or color it with Watercolor Pencils.  Or a Blender Pen!  Let your imagination fly!  And – Triple Time Technique.  Super cool and super easy!  And – if you’d like to see a quick video (yes – less than a minute!) on how to do it – check it out right here!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn frequently gets up on the sofa with me in the evening.

He’ll settle down right by me for…a few minutes.

But it’s almost always too hot for him

Sometimes, though, if the AC is working to his liking and all the stars align…this happens.

He was sound asleep and stayed there for about 20 minutes.

One of my fave things!

  1. Kate

    Beautiful card!!!
    Happy sleeping Finn!

  2. Love this card Mary 🙂 Triple time stamping is one of my favorite techniques and I love the way you made this with the apples. Love the picture of Finn. That’s something I really miss with Jasmine, her resting her head on my lap and falling asleep 🙁

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you, Karen! And…I’m so sorry 🙁

  3. Such a pretty card! Love the apple images, it’s a beautiful stamp set! Awww…Finn is a definitely a lap dog. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Right?!? I just need a bigger lap! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  4. Susan LaPanne

Your card is absolutely beautiful, Mary! I love the triple time design – but I especially love your choice of colors…they are soft and elegant…just lovely!!!

  5. Gorgeous, Mary! You’re reminding me that I have yet to try this technique and I definitely need to!

Our dogs get too hot on the couch too. They would much rather lay near the air conditioning vents, but when they do cuddle it’s extra special! Finn looks like he was very content lying next to his mama! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

That’s exactly what Finn likes to do – have the AC blowing right on his belly!! So – this was a REAL treat! 🙂 DO try the Triple Time – you’ll be a fan!! 🙂

  6. Faith Simpson

Saw your quick video on Instagram~! Impressive! I need to try doing this technique again.
Cuddles with Finn are a nice reward at the end of the day….super sweet.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Faith – glad you liked it! 🙂 And yes – it’s a nice way to spend a little time in the evening! 🙂

  7. Awesome card! Love the triple time technique Mary!
