Stampin’ Up! Christmas Scottie Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a cool color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I like adding a pop of color to a black-and-white palette so the challenge this week was really fun for me!  My thoughts gravitated to the new Christmas Scottie bundle – a punch bundle, which is always cool! – and I also pulled out the Black & White Designs DSP (I mean – the name alone says “use me for this challenge!!).  You’ll be able to get them ALL tomorrow – when the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog goes live.  Whoo-hooo!!  So…take a look-see:

Just to prove I wasn’t dreaming about the challenge…I used Sweet Sorbet as my Free Choice color.  Obvs…

And I used the sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments to inspire the layout!

I started by embossing a Basic Black panel in the Gingham Embossing Folder and then adhered it to the front of a Basic Black card base with Liquid Glue.

Next, I picked a design from the Black & White Designs DSP

….matted it on Sweet Sorbet and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Yes – I KNOW there’s gray in the DSP – think of it as…stamped-off-three-times BLACK! 😉

Next, on a piece of Basic White, I stamped the plaid image from Christmas Scottie twice in Sweet Sorbet and once in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Using the third-from-largest square Stylish Shapes die, I cut two Sweet Sorbet squares – and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the bundled Scottie Dog Punch...

…I cut the dog from the Tuxedo Black plaid image.

I used the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a Basic White circle.  This is popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I popped the Scottie on with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the bow in Sweet Sorbet on a piece of Basic White and punched it with the Scottie Dog punch.  Then I adhered it to the dog with a little Liquid Glue.

The sentiment – also from Christmas Scottie (and so cute!!) is stamped in Sweet Sorbet and cut with the smallest Stylish Shapes banner die.  I popped it on with a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Sweet Sorbet dots from the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Christmas Scottie in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped one of the fun little Scottie images in Tuxedo Black and added the collar image in Sweet Sorbet!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and into the Basic Black card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got another Scottie with collar and bow on the front…

…and more of the Black & White Designs DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How.  Cute.  Is.  This.  Bundle?!?  Answer:  TOTALLY adorably cute!!  I love the plaid image – and it’s so fun to just punch the scottie from that – but you can ALSO cut out one of the stamped Christmas Scottie images – as well as the bow with the bundled Scottie Dog Punch.  And I really like the fun geometric patterns in the Black & White Designs DSP – and know you will, too!

I hope you like – and are adding to your lists for tomorrow!  Can you believe it’s SO CLOSE?!?! 😎😎😎
