Happy Happy Hawwwwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well!
My card today uses one of my favorite kinds of stamp sets – one that twines flowers and graphics in and around big bold sentiments. The Reasons to Smile stamp set is just such a set – and I love how it came out when I paired it up with the Design a Daydream DSP! Take a look-see:
I chose elements for this card based on the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the top and down the left side!
I started by adhering a piece of the Design a Daydream DSP (you can get this for FREE with a workshop or individual order over $180 – I can help do it, so…give me shout!) on a piece of Old Olive cardstock to create the card front.
Next, I placed a piece of Basic White cardstock into my Stamparatus. Using the Marker-to-Stamp technique – I colored the bulk of the Reasons to Smile stamp with the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker. The flowers are colored with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.
When you use this technique – for sure using the Stamparatus – don’t even try without it!! – then you can ink-stamp-ink-stamp as many times as you like to achieve the color depth that you want!
Using the next-to-largest rectangle in the Scalloped Contours die, I cut the sentiment and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added two Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to the sentiment panel and the card front was done. Easy and also peasy!
On the inside, I used the Marker-to-Stamp technique again on just a part of the second stamp in the Reasons to Smile set and stamped the bottom of a Basic White cardstock panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and into my Old Olive card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a stamped Reasons to Smile image on the front…
…and more of the Design a Daydream DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So…I KNOW you “get” why I really love these kinds of stamps. Reasons to Smile gives you everything in one fell swoop! Sentiment. Flowers. Boom! And the Design a Daydream DSP is HUGE – and GORGEOUS! With Stripes – Dots – Florals – Plaids! It’s got it all in the amazing 48 SHEETS of paper you’ll get! Wow!!
