Stampin’ Up! Sunny Sentiments Spiral Symmetry Hello

Hello from Kauai!  We made the island-hop successfully – Maui to Honolulu to Kauai – yesterday.  Then hit Costco and the grocery to get provisions for the AirBnB.  Which is really nice AND has a spectacular ocean view.  I think we’ll do just fine!  Have some plans to hike and see the grotto and the National Park while we’re here!

My card for you today is a little different than my usual fare – a little outside my comfort zone – and features several fun new sets from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  A Spiral Dye background lends some fun to a Sunny Sentiments….well…sentiment!  A few stylized florals from the In Symmetry stamp set finishes it all off.  Take a look-see:

Groovy, baby!! 😉

I created the card front by sticking a piece of Basic White cardstock into my Stamparatus and then stamping the Spiral Dye image in Flirty Flamingo.  Then I flipped the panel 180 degrees, and stamped the image again in Daffodil Delight.  Hint:  when you’re stamping these big background images, I like to stamp a slightly-larger-than-I-need panel and then cut it down to the desired size.  That way there’s no “white space” on the edges. 😉

I matted the panel on Flirty Flamingo for the card front.  Then I wrapped some Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Chevron-Weave Ribbon around the panel – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I used the two smallest label dies from the Hippo & Friends Die set to cut the sentiment and its Flirty Flamingo mat.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Sunny Sentiments sentiment in Evening Evergreen on Basic White and cut it with the smallest of the two middle Hippo dies.

Using the flower images in the In Symmetry stamp set, I stamped a few in Daffodil Delight and then added Flirty Flamingo flowers in the middle.

I popped the Flirty Flamingo mat over the ribbon with Dimensionals – then added the sentiment label over that with MORE Dimensionals.  FInally, I added some Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the flower middles – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I just added some more of the In Symmetry flowers in Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo on a Basic White panel!  Then I added a couple of the Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the centers.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Evening Evergreen card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more In Symmetry flowers on the front…

…and some 2021-2023 In Color DSP in Evening Evergreen on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – don’t be afraid to mix and match stamp sets and dies.  If you’ve got them – use them!  The Spiral Dye stamp is an amazing background that;; give you a perfectly fun foundation for Sunny Sentiments and In Symmetry flowers, like I’ve done here – or any sentiment and image sets that you’ve got!  Have fun with your tools!  😉

And…don’t forget the Hippo & Friends Dies.  They’ve got totally wonderful label dies that will be a staple for all your projects! 🙂

I hope you like!

Wayne and Lance went SCUBA diving on Saturday morning – kind of the last hurrah in Maui!  Thought you might like some pics! Lance took them with his new Go-Pro!  🙂

That’s Wayne in the last photo – he took to SCUBA like a duck to water! 😉

No – his legs are NOT actually glowing…but…close! 😎
