Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seaside Seashells Birthday

Good morning and welcome to the week.  Also? It’s now officially less than a month before we wing our way to the Aloha State!  Yeah!  And – we found out some good news – there is a Costco on BOTH Maui AND Kauai!!  Which means…my happy place is IN paradise!  It’s like…Happy-Place-SQUARED!!  And we can get food for meals and snacks, too!  Whoo-hooo!!

I’ve got a card that harkens to the sea today (THAT was poetic, huh!?) using the pretty Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set, a little faux stitching from the Stitched With Whimsy dies, and…some pretty Seaside Shells stickers! 😉  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And, although I didn’t go as bright as the colors in the challenge picture, my color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a Basic White panel that I die cut/embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy next-to-largest die.  Then I matted the panel on Soft Sea Foam for the card front.

I stamped a Friends Are Like Seashells sentiment in Soft Sea Foam near the bottom of the panel.

I de-sticky-fied some of the Seaside Shells stickers (remember – you can use your Embossing Buddy, or your arm or clothes – just tap the sticker on your chosen surface to dull the sticky!) – and popped them onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Friends Are Like Seashells sentiment in Soft Sea Foam.  Then I added a So Saffron starfish and a Seaside Spray sand dollar next to it.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and into my So Saffron cardbase, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Friends Are Like Seashells shells on the front…

…and some Sand & Sea DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Simple.  Easy.  Pretty!  I like it!  Friends Are Like Seashells is part of an amazing bundle that includes the wunnermus Seaside Seashells Dies (these are the ones that coordinate with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder!  It’s all in the Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog and you can still get your hands on all of it!
