Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Sea Shells Sneak Peek Birthday

Hello, y’all!  Well – I hope your week is going well and that any and all last minute shopping is done!  If not – and you’re worrying about shipping times (there’s only 10 days left, folks!)…might I suggest a gift certificate?   Maybe drop a hint to the other folks in your household that Stampin’ Up! products would be a VERY good gift this year!  Socially distanced – keeps you at home!  Win-win!  And – as it happens (coincidence?  I think not!) – I can help with that!  Give me a holler!

So – my card today features another sneak peek at a grand new Suite in the upcoming Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog…the Sand & Sea suite!  It’s anchored by the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle with help from the amazeballs Seashells 3D Embossing Folder – and the gorgeous Sand & Sea DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card was inspired by the Sunday Stamps sketch this week.

I started with some beautiful paper from Sand & Sea that I matted on Soft Sea Foam for the card front.  Then I cut a Stitched Nested Labels die from a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, embossed it in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the large die in the Seaside Seashells Dies – which will be bundled with the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (that’s a 10% savings!) – and cut the shape from a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

I used the shells images in the Friends Are Like Seashells to stamp the large conch in stamped-off-once So Saffron, the smaller cone shell in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride and the clamshell in stamped-off-once Soft Seafoam.

Then I placed the die cut into the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder – lining everything up with the embossed image – and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine!

I brushed the shells with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, then snipped apart the ones that I wanted – leaving some seagrasses attached.  I also snipped a few extra seagrasses.  The seagrass is all colored with my Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend – and I also stamped them a few times in Soft Sea Foam with the bubbles image from Friends Are Like Seashells.

I stamped the seaweed (?) image five times in Seaside Spray on Whisper White and cut them with the die in the Seaside Seashells die set.

For the sentiment, I selected another piece of the Sand & Sea DSP and stamped the sentiment from Friends Are Like Seashells in Seaside Spray – then cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die.

I laid out the collage and took pictures so I could re-create it once I’d found that “ah…yes” moment!

I adhered the first layer with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next – I pulled out some Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine from the new Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack and made a figure-8 bow – which I adhered with a Glue Dot.  I added a seaweed die cut under the sentiment and on top with Liquid Glue.

Finally – I used a few more dimensionals to adhere the last couple of shells.

I added a few new Opal Rounds and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Friends Are Like Seashells in Seaside Spray to a Whisper White panel.  Next to it I added a clamshell in stamped-off-once Blushing Bride – surrounded by some Soft Sea Foam bubbles.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and into my Blushing Bride card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the clamshell and bubbles on the front…

…and more of the Sand & Sea DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all! This is my second go with this Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle and….wow.  I am loving it so much!

The fact that you can emboss the big, gorgeous Seaside Seashells die cut in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder – after stamping the shells is just genius!  And the paper.  THE SAND & SEA PAPER!!

I hope you like!  And – are making your lists!!  5 Jan is just around the corner!!

Finn Fan Fix

I have no words for these pictures.

I looked up and caught this – and pulled out the phone.

I am not really sure what they are doing.

Or why.

But…it all ended up with an Aussie-in-socks.

He didn’t seem to mind much.

Or at all.

Boys.  Am I right??
