Morning, you guys! Hope your weekend is looking good!
I’ve got a sweet and simple card for you today – made with a set of goodies that you’ll be able to partake of in November (and ONLY November!). It’s the limited time Snowflake Showcase! I combined one of the cool die cuts with a sentiment from the Farmhouse Elements. Take a look-see:
Check. Out. That. Die. Cut!
Is that the coolest thing ever?!? I’ll do a whole post about the Snowflake Showcase in a few days – including a video showing you all the goodness! But…here’s a quick peek….
On this card, I used the Snow Is Glistening stamp set, Snowfall Thinlits dies and….new White Velvet Sheets! Yep – you read that right. Velvet. Sheets.
My layout for this clean-and-simple card is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches.
I started by embossing a panel of Merry Merlot card stock in the Subtle Dynamic TIEF and matting it on a piece of Whisper White for the card front.
I used one of the gorgeous dies in the Snowfall Thinlits to cut the shape from a new White Velvet Sheet, then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I took a Festive Farmhouse Element and colored it by squishing it on top of my Whisper White Craft Pad. I did that a few times to get a good solid coverage. When it was dry, I painted it with my Frost White Shimmer Paint. Then I adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I finished it off by sticking a few of the new Snowflake Trinkets to the die cut with Glue Dots!
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Snow is Glistening stamp set in Merry Merlot on a Whisper White panel. Across the bottom, I added a few snowflakes in Merry Merlot. I LOVE that there are so many different snowflakes in the one stamp set!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Whisper White mat and into my Merry Merlot card base, and used Liquid Glue to adhere the card front, too – and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more of the Snow is Glistening snowflakes across the front…
…and on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Clean and simple isn’t really my wheelhouse – but…that snowflake die cut just demanded that it take centerstage and not have to fight for attention! As I mentioned, I’ll be showing more samples in the weeks to come – and giving you all the details about the Snowflake Showcase! Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Saturday was a rough day here at the Deatherage house.
Our sweet Leo went to the Rainbow Bridge. He’ll be in good company – too many of our fur children have preceded him.
I made it as easy for him as I could. I hope it was easier for him than it was for me.
He’s the all-black fellow in the back – the one with the big yellow eyes. Those eyes saved his and his sister 15 years ago.
Rest in Peace, sweet boy.
