Stampin’ Up! Big Thank You’s and Petal Promenades!

Happy New Week, y’all!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I worked a bit on Saturday, then did my grocery shopping and a little new-clothes shopping(now WAY more fun than a year ago!!).  Then Sunday was all cards all the time.

Oh – and laundry… 🙂

And – I was so proud of myself.  After sitting on my…you know what…most of the day, I rewarded myself.  By going to the treadmill downstairs for 30 min.

Are you impressed?  But wait.  There’s more.  After THAT – I went swimming.  In a pool.  In.  An.  Actual.  Swimsuit.

Now – I DID double check first that no one else was in the pool area – but…Still.  😉

So, if you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, thank you so much for spending part of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to check out how to make this card today, here’s the link to the video on YouTube.

I used one of the pretty floral frames that is included on one of the Petal Promenade DSP designs!  To that starting point, I added a couple of sentiments and flowers from the A Big Thank You stamp set.  Take a look-see:

The layout from this one sort of loosely came from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by embossing a piece of Very Vanilla card stock in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF (one of my favorite things!) and then I matted it on Shaded Spruce with Liquid Glue.

While I had the Basket Weave TIEF handy, I embossed the small Shaded Spruce panel.

Next is one of the gorgeous frames from the Petal Promenade DSP.  I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut it down to 3″ square and then I stamped the pretty sentiment from A Big Thank You in Shaded Spruce.

I adhered the stamped square onto the embossed panel with Liquid Glue – then I popped the whole thing over the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used some Glue Dots to add a length of Powder Pink 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon.

At the end of the ribbon, I added a Tranquil Tide embellishment from the 2017-2019 In Color Flower Buttons with a a Glue Dot.  Over that, with another Glue Dot, I adhered a double-length bow of Silver & Petal Pink Baker’s Twine.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I stamped some flowers from the A Big Thank You set in Highland Heather and Petal Pink.  I stamped the images a couple of times without re-inking.  Over that I added a sentiment in Shaded Spruce.

I used Liquid Glue to add the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more A Big Thank You flowers in Highland Heather and Petal Pink on the front…

…and I added a different design from the Petal Promenade DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve said it before – the Petal Promenade DSP is the prettiest paper ever!  I absolutely love it!  And I know you will, too – it’s even more gorgeous in paper-son….  And I love the huge number of great, useful sentiments in the A Big Thank You set – and it even has flowers and some flourishes – it’s the total package!  In case you missed it in the catalog, this set is bundled with the truly cool Thank You Thinlits die!!  Hope you like!
