Stampin’ Up! Sail Away on LilyPad Lake for the Stamp Ink Paper #155

Happy Tuesday, y’all!  Since it’s Tuesday, that means we’ve got another Stamp Ink Paper challenge to give your creative mojo a bump!  AND – it’s a give away challenge so…Hope you’ll play along with us! 🙂

The theme this week is Summer Fun and the little sailboats in the Lilypad Lake bundle really say summer to me.  I added the perfect sentiment from the Detailed With Love set.  Take a look-see:

And here’s the challenge badge for the SIP #155!  When you’re done here, be sure to head over and check out the giveaway this week!

In addition to our own challenge, I got the inspiration for my layout from the sketch challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch.

And…cuz I’m always willing to take any extra help…my colors are from the Just Us Girls Color Week.

I pulled out my journaling pens and did a little doodling – as suggested by the TGIF Challenge!

So – to begin, I stamped the water image from the Lilypad Lake stamp set in Coastal Cabana on a panel of Whisper White, then double-matted the panel on Coastal Cabana and Lovely Lipstick card stock.

Over the top, I borrowed a sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set and added it with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink – using my Stamparatus.

On some scrap Whisper White, I stamped several sailboat images in Tuxedo Black and cut them all out with their matching die in the bundled Lakeside Framelits.  Then I got busy with my Lovely Lipstick and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Markers.  I used my Journaling Pen to fun-i-size the sails with some doodles!

I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sailboats oh-so-artistically around the sentiment.

My Journaling Pen came in handy to add some sea birds and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added the Lilypad Lake sailboats again in Tuxedo Black, Lovely Lipstick and Coastal Cabana to a Whisper White panel.  I hand-drew some Coastal Cabana waves and doodled a few more sea birds.

I double matted the panel on Coastal Cabana and Lovely Lipstick, then added it to my Basic Black card base with Liquid Glue.  Then I popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a reprise of the Lilypad Lake sailboats on the front…

…and I added more Coastal Cabana water and some sea birds to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I can almost hear the sea gulls crying and the slap of the waves against my Lilypad Lake sailboats, can’t you?  And the Detailed With Love sentiment fits perfectly.  Hope you like!
