Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature on Wood for Stamp Ink Paper #153

Good morning, all!  It’s Tuesday so that means it’s time for a new Stamp Ink Paper Challenge for you to play along with!  And it’s a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge – one of my favorite kinds!

For mine, I pulled out the Rooted in Nature Bundle, along with some pretty Nature’s Poem and Wood Textures DSP.  Take a look-see:

Here’s the SIP #153 challenge badge for you – you can see I went down the left side.  I do hope you’ll join us this week!

I borrowed some layout help from this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

I started with a Cajun Craze paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP, matted on Petal Pink for the card front.

Next up, I cut three strips of Wood Textures DSP, matted them on Petal Pink, and adhered them on the card front.  As you can see, I turned the sketch!

I cut myself some Rooted in Nature trees.  I used my Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers to color the single (tall) tree stamp directly, then stamped the trees on Mossy Meadow card stock.  I did that three times and cut them with the matching Nature’s Root die.  I also stamped the double-tree image twice in Mossy Meadow and cut them as well.

I heat embossed the Rooted in Nature sentiment in Copper on Vellum card stock and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits oval die.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a few of the trees to the card front – then used Glue Dots behind the embossed letters to adhere the Vellum sentiment.  I tucked the edge of the oval between two of the trees – can you see that?

I added the final single-tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish off, I tied a little bow from 1/4″ Copper Trim and adhered it and a couple of copper Leaves Trinkets to the card front with Glue Dots.

On the inside, I added some leaves from Rooted in Nature in Cajun Craze and Petal Pink to a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped each leaf twice without re-inking.

I matted the panel on Petal Pink and into my Mossy Meadow card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Rooted in Nature leaves in Cajun Craze and Petal Pink on the front…

…and more Nature’s Poem DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I do so love these beautiful trees in the Rooted in Nature stamp set and, being able to cut them out so easily with the Nature’s Roots Framelits is just awesome!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Momma has a new toy!

Well.  It’s actually a TOOL.  But it’s definitely a COOL TOOL!

We’ve had a 4-wheeler for years now – you can hardly have any size acreage without one – but the old one had started….well – NOT starting!  It had become a total PITA!

So – now we have a new one.  It’s an old new one – but it might as well be new.

And guess what!?  It starts – with just the push button (no pulling a rope!) every time! Whoo-hoo!

Also – it looks really cool and is BIG!

Finn approves and has given it Four Paws!  Out of four…so…it’s a good thing!
