Stampin’ Up! Enjoy Life on Garden Impressions

Good morning, my peeps!  THIS IS A BIG BIG DAY!!

No – not cuz it’s Friday (although that’s pretty cool, too!).  Nope – it’s a BIG DAY because today the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live!!

The Online Store will be down today until around noon Mountain Time – so…patience, Padawan….patience!  Once it goes live, remember that the Stampin’ Blends in the new colors won’t be available just yet – although the current color Blends WILL be!  And – the Big Plans Planner Kit (Item 146859) and Big Plans Planner Kit Refill (Item 146861) won’t be available until 11 Jun.  Everything else will FINALLY be yours to choose – so gird those credit cards and have fun!

I’m still taking orders for the new and In Color Bundles – they’ll help you save a little stress on that aforementioned credit card (and have it to spend on even more fun stuff!!).  So if you’re wanting one of those, check them out below and get your order in!

Now.  Let’s have a card, shall we? 🙂

I used the super pretty Enjoy Life stamp set and paired it with my favorite Garden Impressions DSP design.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card is from The Paper Players.

And I took inspiration from the photo over at The Card Concept.

I started with what has to be my favoritest design ever – or at least my fave in the new Garden Impressions DSP.  I matted it on new Mango Melody card stock for the card front.

Selecting a different design, I matted it on Mango Melody, too, and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using Tear & Tape Adhesive, I wrapped a length of Whisper White 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon around the panel.  Over that, I wrapped some new Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine around – twice – securing it in the back with a couple Glue Dots.

For the art/sentiment, I stamped the lovely sentiment from the Enjoy Life stamp set in Night of Navy.  Over the top, I added the grasses silhouette in So Saffron.  A Mango Melody butterfly completes the scene.

I cut the image with a Circles Layering Framelits die and cut a Mango Melody scalloped circle for the mat.

I adhered the two pieces together with Liquid Glue then popped it over the ribbon/twine with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a small, double-length bow from the Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine and added it to the art/sentiment with a Glue Dot – and that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Enjoy Life in Night of Navy.  Over that I added more of the grasses silhouette in So Saffron and a few sweet little Mango Melody butterflies.

I matted the panel on Mango Melody and into my Night of Navy card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more So Saffron grass and Mango Melody butterflies on the front…

…and more of my favorite DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Quick and easy – but oh-so-pretty, thanks to the gorgeous Garden Impressions DSP and the wondrous Enjoy Life stamp sets!  I just know that both these goodies are at the top of your list for when the clock strikes 12pm Mountain Time tomorrow!!  Hope you like!

  1. What a beautiful card! Love this design, the colors and designer paper are perfect!

Ha! Hmmm…I can’t image which caption is the right one for the photo. I’m sure that it’s just that they love him sooooo much. 😉

  2. Beki Rich

Love this card, the words on it really express my morning feelings and I appreciate the decorative envelope ideas too. Your husband is a soft touch like me. Sometimes I even have a snack when they are outside so they won’t be sitting watching me, and waiting for the last two bites of whatever I am eating.

    • stampsnlingers

Not sure that’s a “soft touch”, Beki – sounds a lot like self-preservation! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by to leave such a nice comment. 🙂

    Very nice indeed!
Cookies, hands down. But most intriguing is the look the Dad is giving them…”these cookies be MINE!!! “

    • stampsnlingers

Yea – he’s relatively possessive of his chocolate chip cookies…and they’re bad for dogs and cats anyway. Right?! 😉 But you got it – it’s definitely the cookies!! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  6. What a pretty creation! I love the sentiments in that set, too…so meaningful! Thanks so much for playing with my Paper Players sketch this week, Mary!
