Stampin’ Up! Timeless Textures Stitched All Around

Friday!

Friday before a 3-day weekend!  Heck – some of you may already be off and making it a 4-day!

Please be safe – enjoy the time off!  And remember the reason for the holiday! Thank a vet if you see one, okay?

My card today turned out to be relatively patriotic – in a sort of non-traditional color way.  I used the Stitched All Around stamp set and bundled Stitched Labels Framelits (coming on 1 June!) to make a fun thank you card with the help of some Timeless Textures splotches.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card is from the Paper Craft Crew challenge.

And this color palette is from Sunday Stamps!

This one starts with a plain piece of Whisper White card stock, that I matted on Night of Navy card stock for the card front.

With the splatters image from Timeless Textures, I added some splotches in Night of Navy and Pacific Point in the corner.

I cut a piece of new 2018-2019 In Color 6″x6″ DSP with the die from the Stitched Labels Framelits and cut it in half.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue – separated so that the ends would extend past the next layer…

…which is a piece of Garden Impressions DSP, cut with another die in the Stitched Labels Framelits, adhered with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, I used my Melon Mambo, Pacific Point and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image from Stitched All Around.  Then I cut it with the die in Stitched Labels.

With the little circle and heart dies, I cut a couple of Rich Razzleberry pieces.  I adhered the circle right to the card front.  With a little more Liquid Glue, I added a doubled length of Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (1 June).  Then I popped the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the little heart right to the sentiment and then added a bow tied with a piece of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and two lengths of Silver Metallic Thread.  The final touch is three Faceted Dots in Blackberry Bliss.

On the inside, I added more Timeless Textures splatters in Pacific Point, Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry to a Whisper White panel.

I adhered the panel to a Night of Navy mat and into a Rich Razzleberry card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Timeless Textures splatters on the front…

…and then I added more of the 2018-2020 In Color 6″x6″ DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  While this is far from my usual color palette – I really love how it turned out!  I love the geometric designs in the Garden Impressions and 2018-2020 In Color 6″x6″ DSPs.  And the Stitched All Around stamp set, with the Stitched Labels Framelits bundles with it is rapidly becoming a favorite!  I hope you like!  I’m sure you’ve already got Timeless Textures on your shelf and assume you’re feverishly adding these new goodies to your wish list!

Cuz – one week from today is…say it with me!!….2018-2019-ANNUAL-CATALOG-GOES-LIVE Day! Whoo-hooo! 🙂

And speaking of…don’t miss out on your chance to get the new colors and the new In Colors at a special bundled price!  Scroll down for the deets!

Finn Fan Fix

Some folks call this Spring.

Or Sprummer, maybe.

Think it thru…

Okay.

But, me?

I call it the Dry-the-Dog-About-a-100-Times-A-Day season.

Finn enjoys the process.

I scrub his leg feathers with the towel.

I scrub his skirt with the towel.

I scrub his pantaloonies with the towel.

I flop the towel over his head and scrub his face with the towel.

And then…when I mutter “okay”….he does a twirl-grab…

it’s the part he likes best.

It’s pretty tough on the towel.

  1. What a pretty card! Love the layering and the little polkadot ribbon. 🙂 Summer in the south…where nothing ever dries, including dogs. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – we’ll be wet until October… but in a drought. Weird. Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Kate

    I like it…non-trad ‘n all!
I send thanks to MY favorite vet every day. And to all of them. Our debt is very great.

  3. Elisha

Pretty card! The DSP and ribbon add a certain wispy quality. At first glance I thought you had used some vellum! And yes, how can a dog get so wet from a little morning dew? Have a GREAT weekend!

    • stampsnlingers

Well – to be fair to him, there WERE a ton of rain puddles – and…what’s a kid to do!? 😉 Thanks, Elisha – enjoy your weekend! 🙂

  4. That little heart is just the cutest…just like the Man!

  5. Kate

Your non-trad card is great! Made for Poppy Day.
I thank MY favorite vet every day. And I thank them all; our debt is very great.

  6. Robbie Miller

Funny story and pictures … love the card and Finn’s sprummer ritual !
Also, thanks to Wayne and you for your service !

    Hugs,

I am glad i am not doing your laundry.

  8. So pretty, Mary! I love all the colors on your Thank You medallion – it just looks amazing! Beautiful collection of elements… Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks very much, Heather – appreciate you coming by! 🙂

  9. Susan K

I had to zoom in to see all the details on this card! It’s amazing. Not your usual but shows your versatility well! Glad Finn’s pantaloonies are getting dried too. No dry days here so you’d be very busy!

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – definitely outside my “norm”! Thanks much, Susan. And – of course he has to have his pantaloonies dried – a guy can’t go around with wet pantaloonies all summer! 😉
