Stampin’ Up! Make a Difference Abstract Impressions for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a sketch challenge, and I hope you’ll check out everyone’s projects when you’re done here!

I pulled out some beautiful Share What You Love Specialty DSP and added some images from the coordinating Love What You Do and Make A Difference stamp sets.  On the inside, you’ll find a little something from the Abstract Impressions set.  Take a look-see:

Here’s our sketch badge!

I also played along with the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

And – I thought it fit in with the Global Design Project theme challenge.  And their Design Team projects (Shawn de Oliveira’s inparticular) gave me some design inspiration!

I started with a piece of the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty DSP and matted it on Balmy Blue for the card front.

Then I cut a strip of Blackberry Bliss, embossed it in the flowered Petal Pair TIEF and adhered it over the DSP with Liquid Glue.  I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere a length of Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon.

I used the largest Scalloped Oval die from the Ovals Layering Framelits to cut a piece of Balmy Blue design-paper from the Tranquil Textures DSP and one from Vellum card stock.  I adhered those in offset layers over the card front.

For my art/sentiment, I stamped the flower image from the Love What You Do stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Very Vanilla.  I stamped the image again on another piece of Very Vanilla.

I colored the flowers with my Rich Razzleberry Watercolor Pencil.  Then I added some texture to each petal with my Blender Pen – picking up ink from the lid of my Rich Razzleberry ink pad.  I cut the flowers with the largest Stitched Shapes Framelits oval die.  And I fussy cut the single flower from the other stamped image – popping it over the first image with some Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Using Rich Razzleberry and the small letters from the Make A Difference stamp set, I  “wrote” my sentiment.  Then I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card front – securing it in the back with some more Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Then I tied a double-length bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  The final touch is a Rich Razzleberry Share What You Love Artisan Pearl.

On the inside, on a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions stamp set in Rich Razzleberry.  Over the top – in stamped-off-once Balmy Blue – is the watercolor image from Love What You Do.  The flowers are stamped-off-once Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I adhered the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Crumb Cake card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Love What You Do flowers on the front…

…and some Share What You Love Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Love this suite of products – Love What You Do and Make A Difference, all combining forces with the spectacular Share What You Love Specialty DSP.  And that sentiment from the Abstract Impressions set is simply one of my favorites!  Hope you like!
