Finn Fan Fix
Well – today was another pretty good day! Got some more glimpses of Finn-Chewie!
We started out doing pony stuff – cleaning the barn, putting a new bale of hay in the feed stall. You know – the normal chores!
Finn crawled under the golf cart to wait for me – very much like he would have done last week! So…an early sign today that he’s feeling better!
While I ate breakfast – he suddenly remembered…I LIKE YOGHURT!!
He even got half-way in my lap at one point.
And – this one is huge! He went under my craft table and did NOT get stuck in the corner! Instead…
When he wasn’t outside, licking my yoghurt container or helping me make a card, he spent a lot of time asleep in his kennel – he went there on his own. I’m pretty sure he’s hit the three-day-post-general-anesthesia “wall”. I remember it well – and it’ll kick your butt! So – it’s awesome that he’s reached the point where he’s not anxious – no Benadryl AT ALL today!! – and can relax and just sleep. 🙂

Hey – I might be able to make it tonight! Woohoo! Go Finn! Continued prayers and hugs!
Hope you can, Elisha! Thank you so much! 🙂
That is such encouraging news for the Aussie boy. Will still be sending you all the love and prayers from over here. Think he can have any treats that he likes at this stage, mine was chocolate frogs after my brain surgery so sort of know how he has been feeling.
I do love the paper you will be using.
Chocolate frogs… Hmmm. So far he hasn’t asked for those – which is good, since…chocolate! Thanks so much, Rosalie – appreciate the love and prayers from Down Under! 🙂
All good news indeed. I suspect that 3rd day was a hurdle fr you both, and I am so glad y’all are this side of it.
We’ve had a couple hurdle days – I just needed to recognize them for what they were! Thanks, Mom! 🙂
So glad Finn is feeling better.
Thanks, Gerri! 🙂
Yay that Finn seems to be returning to his old self! 🙂 Hope that I can join you for your live tonight. Hope that Finn continues to improve every day!
He’s got a bit to go – but…at least he’s on the right road, I think! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
It is wonderful to know Finn is making such great progress! So delighted when our fur babies are back to nearly normal after this trauma. I appreciate hearing all good news! Now, I look forward to seeing you tonight, however, I usually wind up having to watch all of it a little later, but do catch about 3/4th of it in the original mode! Thankyou for your inspirations.
Well – thank you for watching in live AND replay modes!! I appreciate that very much! Yes – good news is way better than bad!! Hoping I can bring y’all the former much more frequently than the latter. 🙂
So glad he is recovering nicely! You’re a good mom!
Thank you for that, Stephanie – I try! 🙂
Can’t wait to join you tonight! Yogurt…yes, what a great sign!! Tomorrow Perry has his third port removed and another one put in his thigh. He comes out of anesthesia quicker than you, me or Finn! He could basically drive home!! I want to stay in la la land as long as possible. It agitates the hospital nurses…lol.
LOL! But that “Mary Mary Mary – WAKE UP!!” gets tiresome. They’re VERY good at being annoying! Thanks, Karen – see you tonight! Hey to Perry! 🙂
Yay! Keep it up, Finn. 😘
We’ll have our ups and downs – but…right now we’re on an UP! Thanks so much, Pat! 🙂
Hi Mary,
I’m so happy that Finn and you are doing better 🙂 !
He will be back to his ornery self before you know it.
Hugs and prayers,
Robbie
I surely do hope so, Robbie! Thanks for the words of encouragement and the prayers! 🙂
What a handsome man!! Love from Ohio and our Aussie Jack!
Thanks – he’s even cuter when he doesn’t have staples in his forehead!! Hugs to you and Jack! 🙂
So glad Finn seems to be on the upswing. My daughter had surgery Friday and she’s still feeling yucky from the anethesia too, so hope both patients continue to recover, however slowly it takes. Set my clock for tonight!
Well – tell her I’m thinking of her – and don’t expect her to get it out of her system too quickly! It took me a LONG time to get completely past mine! Thanks so much, Susan!! 🙂
So happy for good news. Plan to join you tonight.
Yeah! See you soon, Julie – thanks! 🙂
I’m very happy to hear that Finn is doing much better today! I think he’s well on the way to total recovery by the sounds of it! Continued prayers and hugs to you all!
I surely do hope so, Sue! Thanks so much for the hugs and prayers! 🙂
Our prayers continue for you & Finn. Recovery takes a little bit longer then we would like, but it sounds like Finn is making progress! You are doing the right thing…..letting go & letting God. Little by little the “old Finn” will show up……..there might be a few areas that may be the “new Finn” but that is all good. He is a young fella & healthy & those are all plusses!! Keep us posted…..love to hear how the boy is doing & enjoy your card designs & inspiration. Always in our prayers.
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement, Karen! 🙂 I’m glad that you enjoy the cards and ideas, too. 🙂
It’s great to know that Finn’s on the recovery path now. You can focus on the positive signs and not worry so much about the rest. Happy time for us all!!!
Yes – it’s good to see him starting to act like himself again! I know he’s got a long road ahead – but…working on staying positive! Thanks so much, Kathy! 🙂
Isn’t it amazing how many people love your fur baby? And I also love your cards. And always wish you both the best! – Ellie
It’s amazing and pretty wonderful! Thanks so much, Ellie – enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂
Hey Mary! Yoguhrt yum my morning go to as well!!!! Yay for Finn! So glad that each day is becoming better then the one the day before! All sounds positive to me. Give that handsome fella a hug for me! 🙂 Looking forward to joining in at some point tonight, this new suite sure is pretty! Have a good rest of your day Mary!
Yes – each day is better than the last – for which I am very grateful! 🙂 Thanks so much, Kathy! See you when we see you tonight – this is such a beautiful set – you’re right about that! 🙂
I have been reading your posts, and your heart must just swell, with knowing how many lives both you and Fin touch. Good job Mary.
Sharon and I will be watching you tonight, with our goodies. Chocolate fudge bars.
God bless you and Fin.
It sure does, Jean – it’s a little overwhelming! Looking forward to this evening – enjoy those fudge bars! 🙂
Hi Mary,
So relieved for you and cute little Finn. I felt in my heart he would get well. So much good was on his side. What one throws out into the universe comes back, and he also was surrounded with people helping him one-on-one. Give him a big hug, and consider yourself hugged too, Mary. Take good care and have a wonderful week ahead. Relax, as all is well.
Best wishes,
Karren
Yes, ma’am – the prayers seem to be working well! Thank you so much for those you’ve sent up! And thanks for the hug – never amiss! 🙂 Appreciate you, Karren! 🙂
So glad Finn is feeling better! It will be a process with somes up and downs with his recovery (at least it was when I’ve had surgery), but he’s coming back to you. He’ll be back in no time!
BTW – beautiful card!!
Thank you so much! I keep reminding myself of that – some moments it’s harder than others!! 🙂
