Stampin’ Up! Finn Is Home

Just a quick update for the Finn Fan Club.

The man is home and sleeping in his kennel.  He’s got a couple of holes in the noggin – with some staples showing.

Badges of courage, don’t you know?

Right now he’s drunk on sedative – so not quite sure what his feet are doing.

Which means sleep is the best medicine for tonight.

Just wanted you all to know so you didn’t need to worry about him tonight! 🙂

He’d have sat up to show you his wounds, but…he was too sleepy.

Oh, my, Finn looks like he has been through a war. I guess he has of sorts. Poor little Finn. I am confident that he will be up and around very soon. He is in the hands of love….your hands!!! that always is the magic potion. Wishing you both well. Take good care.
    Best wishes,
    Karren

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, my friend! He HAS been through a war, for sure! But – he’s on the road to recovery now! 🙂

  3. Karen in Florida

I’m so glad! No concussion or anything awful like that, right??? Just some deep cuts?
Rest up, little guy, and stay away from the horses.

    • stampsnlingers

Two pretty big holes in the bone of his skull over his sinus. But no concussion! Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂

  4. Becky Kalous

I’ve been following your reports on Finn’s recovery. Such a beautiful, smart and silly soul he is! I am so happy that things were not worse than what they were. I will continue prayers for his recovery and peace and comfort for his Momma.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Becky! I’m relieved, too! 🙂

  5. Eunice Stoneman

So sorry to hear of Finn’s misadventures. I am glad to hear that he is home and sleeping the sedatives off. I trust he will be none the worse for wear shortly, and maybe have a little more respect for those hooves. I trust you are holding up, too. Nothing worse than having your baby injured and suffering and not be able to help him. My prayers are with you.

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so very much, Eunice! You have it exactly right – there wasn’t much of anything I could do! 🙁 But -he’s on the mend, now! 🙂

  6. So glad that he’s home again, glad that he’s recovering nicely…and he doesn’t seem to be bothered by the new haircut! 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – he’s not a vain dude. And he knows he’s hot – no matter the “do”! 🙂

  7. Maryanne Willequer

Yay, Finn! Now, get well fast!

    • stampsnlingers

He’s working on it! 🙂 Thanks, Maryanne! 🙂

  8. Susan Stetina

Glad to see Finn is home with his Mom and Dad! Hope everyone gets a good night’s sleep.

  9. Dee Kepler

I have been a little out of touch for a while and just realized HOW far behind I was. I had to go back and see what in the world happened to Finn~ I AM SO SORRY…but I am so delightful to know the doctor was able to patch him up and he should be better. I will stay more in touch and keep up. Our family has been dog lovers for years and when our babies get sick we are sick too…Hang in there mommy…Finn loves you and so do we!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Dee! Sorry you had to get such a shock this evening! I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and love very much, indeed! 🙂

  10. Pat

Mary, having had fur babies my entire life I know how much we come to love and care for them. I’m so grateful your sweet Finn is on the mend. Bunches of hugs to not only Finn but also you!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Pat. He does mean the world to me – and I’m so glad he’s going to be okay. Will give him a hug for you! 🙂

  11. Kathy Fennell

What a pleasant surprise Mary! I thought for sure he would be spending another night away from home. It’s so good to see him back at home and in his kennel. Nothing hurts worse than when one of your youngin’ are hurt & you can’t fix it. Praying for speedy recovery and that Finn is back to his old self quickly!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Kathy! I’m glad he was good enough to come home! Hoping the next couple of days show rapid improvement! 🙂

  12. I’m so glad he came through it all ok. I know you and he both are glad that he is home.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it’s always good to be home and sleep in your own bed! Thank you so much, Susan! 🙂

  13. Ellie Peckler

Mary – what a happy sight to see precious Finn sleeping in his crate tonight. You must be so relieved.
I hope his Mama gets a good night’s sleep, too! – Ellie

    • stampsnlingers

We did pretty good – only got up a couple of times! Thanks so much, Ellie! 🙂

  14. Mary

I’m so glad you have your lil buddie back home with you. I’m sure he must have scared you. It’s amazing how much we love our animals and just how important they are to us. Something tells me his leash is gonna get a bit shorter for a while . Speedy recovery Finn!

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – about 6 feet! He did scare the heck out of me – and I’m not over it yet. Hopefully the next few days will begin to look better and better! Thanks, Mary! 🙂

  15. Kathy L

Thank you for giving us the good news. I know everybody will sleep better tonight being together. Good luck keeping him quiet tomorrow…and I’m not being sarcastic! Just have my fingers crossed.

    • stampsnlingers

Yea – he’s already not loving go out on the leash. I think it’s insulting to him! 😉 Thanks, Kathy! 🙂

  16. Tina

    Soo Happy Finn is home!🎈🎈🎈🎈

  17. Karin

So happy Finn is home…hugs and kisses to the beautiful young man.

    • stampsnlingers

Will pass them along, Karin – thank you so much! 🙂

  18. Barbara Corum

So glad Finn’s home and resting. Sending prayers. I know it’s hard to see your precious baby going through all this. Hope he will be up and about soon.

    • stampsnlingers

It really is – especially since there’s not much I can do for him but be here. Thanks, Barbara! 🙂

  19. Thanks Mary for the update on our special man, Finn. He sure will have a bit of a headacke with that wound.Hope it will not be too long before he is up and doing hid usual tricks.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I’m sure his noggin is paining him. 🙁 But – he’ll feel better every day, I know. Thanks, Rosalie! 🙂

  20. Barbara Riefner

Poor baby. Those wounds look so “ouch”! I hope he had a good night and that he continues to improve on a daily basis. Please continue to keep us posted on his recuperation. We will be anxious to see our happy, wiggly Finn back!

    • stampsnlingers

I know – there’s not been much wiggling today. Hoping for some before the day’s over. Thanks, Barbara! 🙂

  21. Is that precious boy aware of how many followers he has and how much he is loved by all? Don’t you wonder what goes on in that cute noggin and how much he understands? Thanks for the update. He is on my mind quite often in spite of all that is going on in our neck of the woods. Yesterday was a kick in the head for both of us! I love that God watches over his animals, just like He watches over us.

    • stampsnlingers

Right now I think “what the heck happened and why do I feel so wonky” is what’s going thru his head. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know how many folks are worrying about him this week. But – I DO! And I thank you so much for that. And know that I’m thinking of YOU, too. 🙁

  22. Twila Hartford

Oh, poor Finn! I hope he had a good night and that you had one, too. Thinking of you all. Hope to hear soon that he is back to normal again. Kiss that cute snoozle for me!

    • stampsnlingers

I’m doing a lot of schnoozle kissing these days, Twila – will add in a few for you, too! Thanks so much! 🙂

  23. Kate Stockman

So glad Finn is home. I worry about our Aussie being around cattle, but he is fast–so he gets out of their way. Keep us informed about Finn’s condition. HUGS to BOTH of you.

    • stampsnlingers

He usually does, too – just…not this time! Thanks much, Kate! 🙂

  24. Susan K

So glad to hear Finn is home and all is righting itself in Finnland again. (See what I did there?). We’ll all be glad to see pics of him running around outside again. Until then, hope he rests well tonight and that you do too.

    • stampsnlingers

I hope you get to see those pictures soon, Susan! Thanks you so much! 🙂

  25. Poor baby!!!! But I am super glad he is home.. I hope he feels much better soon!!!!
