So – with the admin stuff out of the way, my card today uses another newbie from the Annual Catalog – the Grown With Love bundle.  I added a little bit of paper from the new Pick a Pattern DSP and came up with…take a look-see:

The layout is from The Paper Players challenge this week:

And I drew inspiration – colors, florals, geometric accents – from The Card Concept challenge.

I started by cutting a piece of Pick a Pattern DSP in black and white and matting it on a piece of Real Red card stock.  I made it smaller than my usual card front to stay true to the sketch.  I also departed from a second “normal” (for me!) thing by SNAILing this matted piece to my Basic Black card base at this point in the build. 🙂

Next up, I cut a Stitched Shapes circle (largest circle die) from a piece of Whisper White card stock and matted it on a Real Red scalloped circle (cut with the largest scallop die in the Circles Layering Framelits).  I used some Liquid Glue to adhere this to the card front.

For my art work, I used a couple of images in the Grown with Love stamp set.  I colored the flowers and the little-red-wagon with my Real Red, Garden Green and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped them all on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  The bundled Garden Grown Framelits has a matching die for both images, so I used those to cut them out.  I popped the wagon onto the matted circle, using regular and mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added the flowers with Liquid Glue.

I stamped two more Real Red flowers from the Grown with Love set and cut them out with their matching dies.  Using a stylus, I mushed in the center of each flower to give them a little depth and added them over the corresponding flowers on the card with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment on the banner is from the new Special Celebrations stamp set.  I stamped it on a strip of Whisper White in Basic Black Archival Ink.  I snipped one end as a banner, edged it with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Daffodil Delight Enamel Shapes to the flowers and the end of the sentiment banner, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped some more flowers from another Grown with Love image across the bottom of a Whisper White panel, using my Stampin’ Write Markers again to color the image and my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to align them just right.  You can see that I used just the flowers – avoiding the extra sentiment!

I SNAILd the panel to a Real Red mat and into the Basic Black card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few more Grown with Love flowers on the front…

…and another piece of Pick a Pattern DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is a really cute little bundle – with flower pots and watering cans, flowers and vegetables!  All with matching dies in the Garden Grown Framelits!  Fun fun.  Hope you like!

  1. Very cute card! Love that little wagon full of flowers, perfect use of those colors! 🙂

  2. There’s something I like about this card…everything! You must miss all your family but at least June is almost done 🙂 Happy weekend.

  3. RitaR

I love how you worked with the sketch to create this beauty. It’s hard to beat black and white with pops of color such as you’ve designed today! All the super cute embellishments (such as the enamel heart shapes) ratchet up the cuteness even more. You’ve certainly made this bundle VERY attractive to someone who hasn’t paid a lot of attention to it in the catalog!! Speaking of attractive, Mr. Finn looks attractive EVEN with an “orange tongue”! LOL Tell Wayne the fan club said, “Thank you for the photo”!

    • LOL – I’ll pass that to Wayne, Rita! Thanks so much – I do think this is another of those little sleeper bundles! 🙂

  4. Being a gardener, with gardening friends, this one is on my list. Cute card. Black and white with almost anything is great. You did the challenge well! The little red wagon is too cute with its load of flowers. This set will work well with From the Garden, which I have. So many choices! Tell Wayne we thank him for the photo of Finn. Pick a Pattern is NOT on my list, but I do like the geometric ones in that pack.

Another GREAT card! I love that little red wagon! Fantastic color combo! Hope you have a wonderful weekend😀 Finn is just too funny lol!

  6. Susan K

So pretty. I love that wagonful of flowers on the B&W! Location doesn’t seem to effect your creativity! I add my thanks to Wayne for the FFF! Eases the withdrawal symptoms! 😉

    • Thanks, Susan! I’m glad you’re still thinking I’m creative – this trip is making me work for it! Will pass your thanks to the hubby! 🙂

  7. This is fantastic! I love that you did the inside of the card too – it’s something I need to do more of. Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Card Concept.
