Stampin’ Up! Flourishing Phrases and Flowers for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Mornin’, y’all –  welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  I’m glad you were able to stop by and appreciate you spending a little bit of your day with us.  Today we all worked a color sketch and I’m excited (and hope you are, too! 🙂 ) to see what all the ladies-who-hop have come up with as they work their crafty magic on this classic color combo:

Pretty, huh?  Gave us all a chance to play with the new Copper embellishments….Metallic Thread, Embossing Powder….Washi Tape.

I decided to play with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set – it’s got so many great sentiments and, of course, the beautiful….well, flourish!  I added some Botanical Blooms and the matching Botanical Builder flowers.  And as a starting touch….I used the Detailed Floral Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

Flowers and Flourishes 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
My card began with a simple Whisper White card front panel that I ran thru the Big Shot – with the smaller Detailed Floral thinlit and the edgelit die (included in the set!) – near the “bottom” (or the top and then flip it – tomato…tomaaahto…).

I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get my Flourishing Phrases flourish lined up just so, and stamped it on the panel with Versamark Ink, then I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up!

Flowers and Flourishes 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I added the first sentiment – from Flourishing Phrases –  in Night Of Navy, also using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  Then I made flowers!

I first stamped and heat embossed in Copper several of the small flower-center images from Botanical Blooms on Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the dies from the Botanical Builder set to cut them out.  I rounded them with a stylus – from the back for the petals and from the front for the centers.  Normally, I’d sponge the edges with something – would have been Night of Navy in this case – but I decided to go for a cleaner look this time around.  I also Copper heat embossed the veins image from Botanical Blooms, on Night of Navy card stock, and cut a couple of leaves with their matching dies.  Finally, I cut one Night of Navy fern.  Cuz I flat love that die shape!! 🙂

Flowers and Flourishes 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I adhered the leaves directly to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I punched some Night of Navy hearts with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and adhered a few  – some around the leaves, a few under where I was going to put my flowers.  I used some Glue Dots to wind a few loops of new Copper Metallic Thread around and around and popped my flowers over all that with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the flowers, I added a Night of Navy small Enamel Shape to each of their centers, and glued some of the tiny Confetti Hearts to the petals.

Then I used a little SNAIL and some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere the card front to a Night of Navy mat.

Flowers and Flourishes 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers
On the inside, I heat embossed a portion of the Flourishing Phrases flourish, again in Copper, in the bottom corner of a Whisper White Panel.  Then I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the inside sentiment, and stamped it in Night of Navy.  A few more of the Confetti Hearts, adhered with Liquid Glue, finished it off!

Flowers and Flourishes 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I SNAILd it to a Night of Navy mat and then into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

Flowers and Flourishes 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
The Medium Whisper White Envelope got another Copper-embossed Flourishing Phrases flourish on the front…

Flowers and Flourishes 7 - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and a custom flap from a piece of the Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape and a little bit of the Floral Boutique DSP.

Flowers and Flourishes 8 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Et Voila!  This one could easily work as a Wedding Card, an Anniversary Card, or even (I think!) an Engagement Card!  Love the way all the different parts came together!  I hope you like it, too! 🙂

Card cuts and all the products you need to make this one for yourself are at the bottom of this post…
