Stampin’ Up! Grateful Bunch Totally Awesome!

Good morning, y’all – hope that you fared okay with the weather these past couple of days – it’s been pretty wild in the South.  We got lucky – nuthin’ but some lightning and a bit of rain.  The horses spent the night tucked up in their stalls with their fans keeping the bugs off – ahh, the life of Riley for them, huh? 🙂

So, I’ve got a quick card to share with you today, that uses my oh-so-fave Grateful Bunch stamp set and its matching punch – Blossom Bunch.  Which I got – and so can you! – as a 15% off bundle!  And Timeless Textures – again!  Take a look-see:

Grateful Bunch Totally Awsome 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers

When making this card, I played along with two challenges.  The first was a sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts, challenge #294:

PPA 294

And the second, giving me my color scheme, was this week’s TGIF challenge #49:

TGIFC 49 SketchTo begin with, I pulled out one of the edge images from Timeless Textures and stamped it in Wisteria Wonder all around the edge of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the image off once on scrap paper before I stamped the card.  When that was done, I used the filigree image in Wisteria Wonder all around the edge – full strength this time.  I wasn’t overly picky about where I stamped, I just kind of completely covered the edges and just a little on the inside of the panel.

I decided to sponge the larger horizontal element of the sketch.  So I ran a couple three sticky notes in a straight line and used a Sponge Dauber to add more Wisteria Wonder.  I repeated that on the opposite side, and then sort of “filled in” between the sponged lines on the ends.

Then I added a piece of Wisteria Wonder 1/2″ Seam Binding across the panel, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  And then I got to making flowers! 🙂

I stamped two of the large flowers from Grateful Bunch in Calypso Coral on Whisper White card stock.  I also stamped the triple flower image at the same time.  Then I fussy cut the large flowers and punched the little ones.

Grateful Bunch Totally Awesome 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers

The dotted leaves, from Grateful Bunch, in Bermuda Bay, were stamped off once and then stamped on more Whisper White card stock – and then fussy cut.  I sort of divided them up to get some “extra” fronds!

I added a few Glue Dots to the Wisteria Wonder ribbon, and wound several loops of Silver Metallic Thread around and around.

I gently rolled all the flower petals with my Bone Folder, and adhered the small flowers to the large ones with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.  I used more of the Liquid Glue to adhere the fussy-cut fronds onto the card front.  And then added the flowers – using Liquid Glue for the two larger flowers and a Stampin’ Dimensional for the smaller flower.

Grateful Bunch Totally Awesome 9 - Stamps-N-Lingers

The flower centers are from the It’s My Party Enamel Dots.  Sorry – just needed a pop of yellow! 🙂

I made the banner by stamping the Grateful Bunch sentiment in Bermuda Bay onto a strip of Whisper White, then I used my Banner Triple Punch to banner-ize both ends.  I SNAILd the banner to the card front, kind of nestled under the flowers.  Then I added a small, Calypso Coral Grateful Bunch flower to the end, finishing it off with a little Pearl Basic Jewel.

I SNAILd the whole thing to a Bermuda Bay mat and the card front was done! 🙂

Grateful Bunch Totally Awesome 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers

For the inside, I started with another piece of Whisper White and reprised the Timeless Textures images around the edges.  This time, I took a little more care to ensure that I left open space in the middle of the panel.  And that’s where I added the second sentiment from Grateful Bunch in Bermuda Bay.

Grateful Bunch Totally Awesome 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I SNAILd it to a Bermuda Bay mat and then into my Whisper White card base.  I also SNAILd the front onto the card – since there’s a goodly amount of depth to the card already!  And the card was done.

Grateful Bunch Totally Awsome 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers

For the envelope, I stamped the dotted leaves image from Grateful Bunch in Bermuda Bay on the front of a Medium Whisper White Envelope…

…and then added a liner cut from a Wisteria Wonder design in the Subtles DSP Stack, made with my Envelope Liner Framelits.

Et Volia!  A kind of eclectically-colored card to tell someone how great you think they are!  What do you think?

Hope you have a great Saturday!

I’ll be back with another card to share tomorrow!

TTFN!

Mary

That is so cool how you used the sponging for the horizontal in the sketch. Gorgeous card.

Beautiful…even if I am done with “awesome” . 😃 You do wonderful things with the blossom motif, in every colorway you choose.

    • I know – but it’s kind of a cool sentiment used this way, I think! And the blossoms – well, it’s nice to get something flowered-y to “grow”! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

This is gorgeous! Love the use of Wisteria Wonder. The beautiful background stamping really caught my eye as well as the inside of the card. This card is “WOW”.
