Stampin’ Up! Cottage Greetings Congrats!

Happy Friday!  Well, I hope that you got all your Sale-A-Brating done last night and got all those goodies you’d been hoping for!  Cuz it’s in the history books for 2016! 🙂

Today’s card uses just a little bit of a fave Sale-A-Bration goody – the Wildflower Fields DSP.  If you don’t have any of it, not to worry – the design could oh-so-easily be adapted to any DSP that you DO have! 🙂

I used the Washi Label Punch to make the focal point of this quick and easy card, combining it with the beautiful font from Cottage Greetings.  And it really showcases some soon-to-be-gone 2014-2016 In Colors!  Take a look-see:

Cottage Greetings Congrats 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I started by building the focal point, with the Washi Label Punch.  I just cut 5 pieces of the Wildflower Fields DSP and arranged them in a way that made me happy.  Then I SNAILd them on a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock.  And I matted it a second time on Mossy Meadow.

Cottage Greetings Congrats 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I did some arranging on a piece of Whisper White card stock, and stamped the sentiment from Cottage Greetings in Blackberry Bliss, using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it in just the right spot.  Then I popped my Washi-panel over that with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

I wrapped a length of Wild Wasabi 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon along the side of the panel, securing it in the back with some scotch tape.  The button is from the Subtles Designer Button set, and I just stuck it on with a couple of Glue Dots.

I tied a quick bow – with 2 strands of Gold Metallic Thread and one of Old Olive Baker’s Twine – and adhered it with a dab of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to the button.

I SNAILd the card front onto a mat of Blackberry Bliss and then to a second mat of Mossy Meadow (these colors are just made for each other!).  And the card front was done!

Cottage Greetings Congrats 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers

The inside is another piece of Whisper White card stock, with the Cottage Greeting sentiment stamped in Blackberry Bliss.  I added another length of Wild Wasabi Seam Binding and then SNAILd it to a double mat – first to Blackberry Bliss and then to Mossy Meadow.  Then I SNAILd it into my Whisper White card base.

Cottage Greetings Congrats 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers

I added the card front with some more SNAIL and the card was done!

For the envelope, I decorated the front of the Whisper White Medium Envelope with a few flowers from Flowering Fields (another SAB goody), stamping them in Basic Black Archival Ink and colored them in with my Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers…

…and then I added a liner with one of the Wildflower Fields DSP designs that I’d used on the card front, cutting it with my Envelope Liner Framelits.

Et Voila!  An easy-peasy clean and simple card for any occasion requiring a pat on the back.  Or a congratulatory high-five!  Maybe an engagement?

This could easily be adapted to use DSPs in the Occasions catalog or the Annual book.  Maybe Birthday Bouquet DSP – with Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive or Mossy Meadow card stocks?  Or how about Bohemian DSP – with Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry?  English Garden and Hello Honey and Old Olive.  Play with it!  Change up the sentiment.  Use that awesome Washi Label Punch and the DSP and let them do the work for you!

And – keep a close look-out…there just might be some Wildflower DSP and Flowering Fields stamp sets up for grabs as Blog Candy in the not-so-distant future! 😉

It’s Friday!!  Did I already mention that??  Hope that you’re getting ready to have a great weekend.

I’ll see you tomorrow!

TTFN!

Mary

  6. LOL – sounds like me! I actually bought plastic expando file thingys from Target to keep my scrap card stock – I tend to hoard a little…. 🙂 But they’re so HANDY for little flowers and little banners and….well. You know! Thanks so much! 🙂
