Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
Our colors this week led me to the Cute as a Bug Suite and I just rolled with it! I used the DSP and the coordinating Sweet Bugs bundle! But then – for fun! – I pulled out the new Scalloped Blooms dies and…some 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies (get THESE on 5 May!). Take a look-see:

And I used the Sunday Stamps sketch as inspiration for the layout!
I started by adhering a piece of Cute as a Bug DSP to a Blackberry Bliss mat for the card front.
Using the fourth-from-smallest Scalloped Blooms die (available on 5 May 2026) I cut out a Blackberry Bliss circle. Using the next smaller of the dies (this one has a stitched edge!) I cut out some Petal Pink Cute as a Bug DSP.
I adhered that die cut to the Blackberry Bliss die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered it all to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Sweet Bugs die set (currently on backorder but…expected back around the week of 13 Apri 2026!) – I cut out some foliage and a few bugs!
– Two large and three small stems from Old Olive cardstock
– Two large and three small Basic White flowers.
– One flower center from Blackberry Bliss cardstock
– Three bugs – well, two bugs and a snail! – from Crushed Curry cardstock
I used a Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend to add some color to one of the large white flowers and the three small white flowers. I used a Light Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend to add a little round circle to the middles of the small flowers.
Then I used Liquid Glue to add the flowers to the Old Olive stems – and the Blackberry Bliss flower center to one of the large white flowers (the one that I did not color with Petal Pink).
I adhered the flowers to the card front with Liquid Glue. Then I tied a simple Linen Thread bow and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Sweet Bugs sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and cut it out with scissors.
Then I added the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered the little Crushed Curry bugs (and snail!) with Liquid Glue.
Using the Light Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend, I colored five white 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies, added them to the card front and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Sweet Bugs sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. Next to it, I stamped the Sweet Bugs flower in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it with the Light Petal Pink and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. Then I added another Cajun Craze-colored 2026-2028 In Color Butterfly.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sweet Bugs flower on the front…
…and more of the Cute as a Bug DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This suite remains one of my favorites – the Cute as a Bug DSP is darling – no matter which side you look at! And the Sweet Bugs bundle – from flowers to mushrooms to bugs (and a snail!) …adorable! The new Scalloped Blooms dies will be a for-sure go-to…those scalloped circles (half with stitched edges and half with smooth!) are wonderful – I know you’re going to want them on 5 May (along with those 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies!)!
