Stampin’ UP! Radiant Sunflower Fields Z-Fold Card for the SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Fold Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  How cool is that?!?

Today’s card is a quick and easy Z-fold that I shared with my team at our last quarterly meeting!  It showcases the gorgeous Radiant Sunflowers bundle and coordinating Sunflower Fields DSP.  Take a look-see:

I pulled elements from the Festive Friday challenge for my card!  I used Jewel Colors, Patterned Paper, Fancy Fold, Decorated Envelope.

I started by scoring a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ on the long side and then folding the first score line as a “mountain” and the second as a “valley”. AKA – a “Z”.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere two 2 1/2” x 4” pieces of Sunflower Fields DSP to two 2 5/8” x 4 1/8” pieces of Golden Glow cardstock and then adhered the matted panels to the first two (smaller) panels of the card base.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a 2 3/4” x 4” piece of Sunflower Fields DSP on a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Golden Glow cardstock – positioning it on the right end – with a “normal” reveal around the top, bottom and right side.

On a 2 1/2″ x 4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Radiant Sunflowers sentiment in Secret Sea ink.  In the bottom left corner, I added  the small flower from Radiant Sunflowers in Secret Sea ink .

Then I colored the leaves with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend and the flower petals with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush.  Like I’ve been known to do, I added little accents of color to the petals with the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Brush.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the other end of the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” piece of Golden Glow cardstock – leaving a “normal” reveal on the top, bottom and left side.

With Liquid Glue, I adhered the matted panel to the inside of the card base.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Radiant Sunflowers sentiment in Secret Sea ink, and cut it out with the third-from-largest Perennial Postage die – cheating it to put the sentiment close to the left side of the die cut.

I used the next-to-largest Perennial Postage die to cut out a piece of Cajun Craze Sunflower Fields DSP.  I adhered the sentiment to the center of the DSP die cut with Liquid Glue.

To make the flowers, I used the dies from the Radiant Sunflowers set to cut out:

– Three small flowers from Golden Glow cardstock.

– A large and a medium leaf/stem from Mossy Meadow cardstock.

– Three small flower centers from Pecan Pie cardstock.

– A vase from Early Espresso Autumn Woodland Glimmer Specialty Paper.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the flower centers to the middle of the three flowers.  Then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the die cut vase to the right end of the sentiment. Note – I kept the Dimensionals in the center of the vase so I could tuck the leaf/stems “inside”.

I tucked the two leaf/stem die cuts “into” the vase – adhering them to the sentiment with Liquid Glue.  To add the flowers, I started by adhering the  “top” flower with Liquid Glue and then added the two remaining flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a knot in a short length of Basic Beige Neutrals Jute Twine, leaving about a 1/2” on either side of the knot, and frayed the ends.  I used a scrunched up Mini Glue Dot to adhere the “bow” to the vase.

With Liquid Glue just on the left side of the back of the Perennial Postage die cut, I adhered the matted sentiment to the front panel of the card base.

I added three Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Dots and the card front was done.

I decided to add a “message” panel to the back of the card so, in the bottom left corner of a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the small Radiant Flowers flower in Secret Sea ink.  I colored the leaves with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend and the flower petals with the Golden Glow and Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Brushes.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the back of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Radiant Flowers flower on the front…

…and more of the Sunflower Fields DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  It was fun that the Radiant Sunflowers was our bundle for the team meeting cuz it’s absolutely one of my faves!  Paired up with Sunflower Fields DSP – it’s a pretty tough combination to beat!
