Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Fold Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see! This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!! How cool is that?!?
I combined some “old” with some new for today’s thank you card – Sunflower Fields DSP (coming on 1 Sept in the Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog) sets the stage on this Bay Window card. But the Fun For Fall bundle (a current Online Exclusive product) takes center stage. Take a look-see:
I grabbed a few elements from the Festive Friday challenge. I got flowers, birds and butterflies!
I do love bay window cards! They’re easy enough to not be intimidating – but cool enough to get a “wow” from whoever opens it up! And they let you spend your crafty mojo on decorating! 🙂
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock that I scored at 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 3 1/4″, 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2 along the long side.
I started folding at the 5 1/2″ score line – folding it as a mountain. The next score line is a valley – then mountain – mountain – valley (this is the 1/4″ line).
Using Liquid Glue just between the 4 1/2″ and 5 1/2” score lines, I adhered the front of the card base to the back – just in that 1” area. If this sounds familiar – it’s like making a book-fold card! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere one of the 7/8” x 4 1/8” pieces of new Sunflower Fields DSP (coming on 1 Sept) to the glued-together section (the book fold section) of the card.
The remaining panels of the bay window got two 1 1/8” x 4 1/8” pieces (with the Pecan Pie background) of the Sunflower Fields DSP and a 1 5/8” x 4 1/8” piece of the of the Sunflower Fields DSP on the center panel (with the white background).
I also added a 7/8” x 4 1/8” piece of the white-background Sunflower Fields DSP to a 1” x 4 1/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock.
I adhered that matted 1” x 4 1/4” strip on the back of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals – keeping the Dimensionals away from the left edge of the strip and leaving room for the 1/4″ piece to slide in and create the “bay” window.
On a 3 3/8” x 4 1/8” piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Fun for Fall sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. Then I stamped the cute little three-leaves image from the set in Pecan Pie ink. I colored the leaves with the Dark Crisp Cantaloupe, Light Timid Tiger and Light Golden Glow Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base!
For the front, I used the dies in the Fun for Fall die set to cut out two of the corn stalk dies from Old Olive cardstock and one of the ears-of-corn die cuts from a piece of Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper.
I adhered the ears of corn to the tops of the stalks – and then adhered both stalks to the center panel with Liquid Glue. Then I cut out a Pecan Pie “fence” and adhered it as well.
On Basic White, I stamped the crow in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored him with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. I stamped the straw bale twice in Pecan Pie, colored them with the Light Golden Glow Stampin’ Blend – and cut out everything with the coordinating dies in the set.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the scarecrow from Fun for Fall in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I stamped it a few more times, too, on Sunflower Fields DSP – once on the Cajun Craze “grid” design, once on the Golden Glow flowered design, and once on the light Pecan Pie design (with the polka dots!).
I colored the scarecrow’s shirt with the Dark Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blend, his face with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend, his hat with the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend and the hat band with the Dark Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blend. Then I cut him out with the coordinating die in the set.
Using my Detail Scissors, I fussy cut just the overalls from the image I’d stamped on the Cajun Craze “grid” design of Sunflower Fields DSP. Then I cut the scarf from the light Pecan Pie design. I used Liquid Glue to adhere them into place on the die cut scarecrow. Then I cut out the patches – both of the ones on the overalls and the one on the hat – from the Golden Glow flowered design of the DSP – and adhered them all with Liquid Glue, too!
I adhered the two die cut straw bales to the card front with Liquid Glue, then added the finished scarecrow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a 5/8″ x 2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Fun for Fall sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. I snipped a banner in the right end and adhered it to the center panel with Liquid Glue. Note: be sure not to get the adhesive on the right end of the banner or you’ll stick your bay window down!
I adhered the crow with a Stampin’ Dimensional – added some Crisp Cantaloupe and Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fun for Fall three-leaves image stamped three times in Pecan Pie ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blends on the front…
…and more of the Sunflower Fields DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – I already knew that the Sunflower Fields DSP was going to be a fave when paired with its coordinating Radiant Sunflowers bundle but…look how cool it is with the Fun for Fall set! Wow! How many Fall projects are you going to be able to make with this stunning paper?! I hope that ONE of those projects might be this cool Bay Window card! 😎

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!
Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!
