Happy happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well! It’s T minus one week to Thanksgiving Eve so…be thinking about when you need to pull that frozen turkey out the freezer! You don’t want to have T-day dinner at the Denny’s, right!? That DID happen to us once when I was growing up!! LOL!
My card today is really NINE cards and they’re from the beautiful new Everyday Beauty Kit. I bought a couple of them and got them all put together the other night. They are GORGEOUS in lovely, soft colors – think Basic Beige, Gray Granite, Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy and Petal Pink – with some pretty touches of gold thrown in for good measure! Take a look-see:
As with all our stamping-kits – there’s an included stamp set and Stampin’ Spot – in this case Night of Navy! This stamp set provides sentiments AND additional foliage images – which I used to decorate the insides of the cards – and the fronts of the coordinating envelopes!
The first card features a beautiful leafy card base – and is our first look at the pretty Petal Pink “wax seal embellishment” from the kits. For this one, the stamp actually says “Hello Friend” but I inked just the “Hello” portion of the sentiment to make the greeting a little more generic. That worked best for the cards I need to send!
I decorated the inside with one of the foliage images from the set – it’s the same that I stamped on the front of the envelope. All the envelopes are printed on the inside!
The next design has a die cut arch element that really showcases another floral image and sentiment. Now – full disclosure. The thin gold thread in the kit is a little fiddly – and it’s used on each design. So – here’s what you do. Put some of the Tear & Tape (included in the kit) on the back of the wax seal and then adhere the loops of thread right to it. Don’t try to make it all “perfect” – think….Farrah Fawcett hair. Perfectly imperfect. And then…call it artsy! It looks awesome! 🙂
Once again – I decorated the inside of the card – and the front of the envelope.
As always – I saved my fave design for last! I just love the stamped leaves on the card front – mirrored by the die cut leaves. And the peek of gold foil frame is perfect! And – I modified the sentiment for this one, too – to make it a thank you card instead of the Celebration card that the kit instructions called for. The stamp set in this kit is really versatile!!
I added the little leaves on the inside of the card, too! And – there’s one LAST awesome thing….
SU! gave us enough of the little “wax seals” to seal the envelopes!
