Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Nature Here For You Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I’ve been itching to play with some of the new Online Exclusives – coming for customers on 5 March – and so I pulled out my fave – the new Encircled in Nature bundle.  And I added some pretty Perennial Lavender DSP!  Take a look-see:

I know!  This is close to a sample that I saw with this bundle – and is what really inspired me to snatch it up quick as I could!

And – here’s our color challenge!

I started by adhering a piece of Perennial Lavender DSP to the front of my Lost Lagoon card base using Liquid Glue.  Note: this DSP is currently unavailable but…is showing that it should be back the week of 12 Feb – yeah!

Next up, I stamped the twig-wreath image from the Encircled in Nature stamp set in Early Espresso on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

The Encircled in Nature die set has two wreath dies in it – they work together!

If you use them both – then you can cut out the twig wreath entirely.  But – if you just use the smaller die, then you get a window!  That’s exactly what I did! As you can see – the stamped twig has a “gap” in the image.  That gap is where you’ll line up the “tab” in the wreath die.

Note – if you’re using BOTH of the dies – they EACH have a tab – and you line them up with each other to make a perfect cut!!  Boom!

With the window cut – I set the panel on a Very Vanilla mat and used a pencil to lightly mark the inside of the window – down near the bottom left corner of the wreath (where the gap is).

I picked up the larger panel and stamped the Encircled in Nature multi-tree image on the left side (using that pencil mark to help me get it in the right spot) –  in Highland Heather ink.

Then I added the single tree image – twice – on the other side – in Fresh Freesia ink.

I placed the top panel back in its spot and used it as a guide to add the stars/moon image in Fresh Freesia.

Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals – being generous with them! – to adhere the card front to the mat.

I used the dies in the Encircled in Nature set to cut out the larger tree image twice – once in Highland Heather paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP and once in Highland Heather cardstock.  I also cut the smaller tree die cut from Highland Heather cardstock.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the die cut trees to the edge of the window opening – with the cardstock trees going down first!

I stamped the Encircled in Nature sentiment in Lost Lagoon on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.  Then I sliced off the left end with the Paper Trimmer and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I tied a double-loop Linen Thread bow (the famous Farrah Fawcett bow) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I finished it off with some gems from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems pack and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Encircled in Nature single tree image a few times in Fresh Freesia ink in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Very Vanilla mat and into the Lost Lagoon card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Encircled in Nature tree a few times in Fresh Freesia on the front…

…and more of the Perennial Lavender DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – so…those tree dies are the things that caught my eye when I first saw the Encircled in Nature set – I am a SUCKER for those kinds of pine tree die cuts (I know you know this!).  But – when I got the set – all the OTHER dies and the wonderful images and sentiments in the stamp set won me ALL the way over!  I love how the curved images just tuck right into the die cut window!  It’s just gorgeous (and I haven’t even scratched the surface!).
