Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends and Notes of Nature Birthday Card

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  We’re two days away from the go-live on the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND Sale-A-Bration 2024!  Whoo-hoo!  But – that means that you’ve only got today and tomorrow to pick up any last minute Last Chance products from the outgoing (sad-face) Sep – Dec 2023 Mini Catalog!  Be sure to make a last swing thru to see what’s left!

Now – I know that you’re sad to see some faves leave but you HAVE to be excited to get your hands on some NEW goodies, right!?  Like…the Bee Mine DSP and the Notes of Nature stamp set that I used in today’s card.  Happily – you can get the Fluffiest Friends bundle – the STAR of today’s show – right now in the Online Exclusives!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week.

I started by cutting the beehive shape from the center of a piece of Bee Mine DSP using the die in the Fluffiest Friends die set.

I adhered a piece of Basic White cardstock to a Sweet Sorbet mat using Liquid Glue.

I set the card front in place and used it as a guide to stamp the cute kitty from Fluffiest Friends in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I colored him with the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, the Ivory Stampin’ Blend (muzzle); Dark Petal Pink Blend (nose); Pecan Pie Blends (clay pot); Light Parakeet Party Blend (leaves); and Dark Pool Party Blend (flower).

I die cut four pieces of “grass” from Garden Green cardstock using the Fluffiest Friends die and then adhered it across the panel with Liquid Glue.

I popped the Bee Mine card front in place on the mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I matted another – flowerdy – piece of Bee Mine DSP on Sweet Sorbet and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Notes of Nature (get this set the day after tomorrow on 4 Jan!) in Garden Green on a strip of Basic White cardstock, matted it on Sweet Sorbet and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I die cut the Fluffiest Friends branch from Pecan Pie cardstock and some leaves from Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

I adhered the branch with Liquid Glue and then used Liquid Glue and Dimensionals to adhere the leaves.

I added some Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the little flower image from Fluffiest Friends in Garden Green on a Basic White panel. I colored the image with the Parakeet Party, Pool Party, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and into my Pecan Pie card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fluffiest Friends flowers on the front…

…and some more of the Bee Mine DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How cute is that kitty?!  He’s not fat – he’s FLUFFY!  Says it in the name – Fluffiest Friends!  I colored him to be like the kitty that visits our barn for snacks!  And I love the dies that go with the stamp set – there’s even a little bee hive that you can add to the tree branch!  You can get it right now.  Coming on 4 Jan – the Bee Mine DSP is so bright & cheerful – I love the colors!  And – Notes of Nature is one of my fave new sets in the Jan – Apr 2024 Catalog.  I think it’s going to be on your list, too!
