Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I realized this week that Easter is approaching, so it seemed like a good time to pull out my Gift of Hope stamp set and make the first Easter card of the season!  I added some foliage from the Wrapped Flowers Die set and came up with this!  Take a look-see:

And here’s our color challenge.

I borrowed the layout from this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that I embossed in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and matted on Blackberry Bliss for the card front.

I matted a strip of Misty Moonlight paper from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP on Blackberry Bliss and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next, I cut one of each of the leaves from the Wrapped Flowers Die set in Basic White.

Using a couple of Glue Dots, I adhered a Gold Hoop Embellishment to the card front, then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut leaves.

I cut the largest Stitched Shapes square die from a piece of Basic White.  Then I inked half of the wreath image from Gift Of Hope in Tuxedo Black and stamped it in the corner.

I added a sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and then colored the leaves and flowers on the wreath.  I used my Light Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and my Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker.

Then I popped the square onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the Gift of Hope church in Misty Moonlight and fussy cut it – then adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the same half-wreath in Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel and colored it as I’d done on the front.  I also added a couple more Gift of Hope sentiments in Blackberry Bliss and Misty Moonlight.  And another Gold Glitter Enamel Dot.  Cuz they’re pretty! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and into my Misty Moonlight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gift Of Hope half-wreath on the front…

…and a little more of the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this Gift of Hope stamp set with it’s religious sentiments and sweet images a wonderful Easter set?  I think it’s gorgeous!  And Wrapped Flowers Dies are a great source for leaves to add to your projects!

I hope you like!
