Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love With Coffee Cafe for the Stamp Ink Paper #146

Mornin’, y’all!  It’s Tuesday so…time for another Stamp Ink Paper challenge!

I pulled out an old standby – the Coffee Cafe stamp set and matching Coffee Cups Framelits, plus the Coffee Break DSP for this one.  And added a little smattering of new goodies!  Take a look-see:

Our Stamp Ink Paper challenge #146 is a theme challenge and it’s…Food and Drink.  I like both food AND drink, so this one was right up my alley.

I borrowed a layout from this week’s Fab Friday challenge.

I started with a piece of the Coffee Break DSP and embossed it in the new Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF, then matted it on Grapefruit Grove card stock (available 1 June!) for the card front.

Next up is some of the beautiful Share What You Love Specialty DSP (available on 2 May for customers in the early release!), matted on Grapefruit Grove and adhered to the card front with Fast Fuse (or Liquid Glue!).

I stamped the cup outline and sentiment from the Coffee Cafe stamp set in Early Espresso on Whisper White and cut it out with the matching die in the Coffee Cups Framelits.  I also cut a lid from a piece of Early Espresso card stock – and adhered it to the top of the cup with Liquid Glue.

The little heart stopper is stamped in Blushing Bride on Whisper White, cut with its die, and adhered to the lid with the Liquid Glue.

I cut a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and adhered it with Glue Dots to the card front.  Then I put a bunch of Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of my coffee cup and used them to wind several loops of Linen and Gold Metallic Threads.  I popped the cup onto the card front – over the Burlap Ribbon.

I added a few Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes – in heart shaped and round – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the espresso beans in Early Espresso – stamped off twice first – in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a second sentiment over the top in full-strength Early Espresso.  Across the bottom is a line of the little hearts in Blushing Bride.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Blushing Bride Coffee Cafe hearts across the front…

…and more of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The older mixes with the new perfectly, don’t you think?  I’m so pleased that the Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cups Framelits are carrying over, aren’t you?  But!  You need to remember that – if you don’t have them yet – the bundle price will go away when the new catalog comes out.  So – if you’re wanting them – snap ’em up right now when you can save 10%!  And – be ready to order the Gotta Have it All Share What You Love Bundle on 1 May!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Guys – a bad thing happened yesterday.

And – this isn’t one of my tongue-in-cheek bad things.

Finn was in the pasture, playing with the ponies.  Being a dog.  Like always.

They were playing back.  Being horses.  Also like always.

And – I guess he zigged when he should have zagged.

I didn’t see what happened.

All I saw is him laying motionless in the pasture.  With the girls standing over him wondering what the problem was.

A very long day ensued.  With a lot of panic thrown in.  I was sure he was dead – he’d actually been knocked unconscious (he must have been kicked).

My neighbor – thank God – was home and came racing to help – we were in the back of the back pasture (this is why I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have my cell phone.  ALL.  WAYS).  I had been on foot – no vehicle and a long way from the barn.  I couldn’t carry him, you guys.  And I couldn’t leave him by himself.

All I could do was talk to him and call the vet and keep the nosy-nellies off him.

It was…fairly horrible.

He did wake up even before my friend arrived – and had the energy to growl and bark at the girls.  And he tried to wiggle a greeting when Gilbert arrived.  Both of which eased my fear only slightly.

As I type this on Monday afternoon – this happened Monday morning – he’s at the vet, where he’s been all day.  I’ll go soon to take him to an emergency clinic where he can be monitored overnight.

When I called a little bit ago – the vet said it didn’t appear that there was any brain involvement – which is a very good thing.  He does have an open injury in his front sinus – which will heal.

And – I’m sure he’s got one whopper of a headache.

So – please.  If you’d all keep my sweet fur-child in your prayers tonight, I would be most grateful.

I know this is going to make you sad – and I’m sorry for that.  But – I knew you’d want to know.
