Stampin’ Up! Crafting Forever Sneak Peek

It’s Friday!  And my puppy is back, my husband is recovering and my vegetable plants will arrive today!  Whoo-hooo!

I have a cute little card to share with you today, courtesy of the new Crafting Forever stamp set (available 1 June) in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I paired it with a little bit of Pick a Pattern DSP (1 June) and came up with a simple CAS card.  Take a look-see:

I played with the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

And my not-my-normal-style color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge this week.

I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry for this card!

To begin, I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and added Rich Razzleberry “stitches” around the edge with my Stampin’ Write Markers, then SNAILd it to a Pumpkin Pie mat.

The middle panel is a piece of Crushed Curry paper from the Pick a Pattern DSP, matted on Pumpkin Pie and SNAILd to the card front.

I stamped the scissors from the Crafting Forever stamp set, in Basic Black Archival Ink, on Whisper White, and fussy cut them.  I kind of liked the symmetry of cutting the scissors out with my scissors! 😏

I colored the handles with my Stampin’ Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Real Red and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card.

My Crafting Forever sentiment is stamped in Real Red on Whisper White and cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle, then matted on a scalloped Pumpkin Pie circle cut with the Circles Layering Framelits.  I popped that on with Dimensionals, and the card front was done!  See?  Told ya it was quick and easy!!

For my inner liner, I repeated the Rich Razzleberry “stitches” around a Whisper White panel and added the Crafting Forever scissors in Basic Black Archival Ink.  Then I colored the handles with my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.

I SNAILd it to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into my Rich Razzleberry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another pair of scissors on the front – this one colored in Real Red…

…and a bit more of the Pick a Pattern DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Crafting Forever stamp set is so cute – and it’s also the Angel Policy stamp set for 2017-2018.  Hope you like – and will be adding it to your wish list! 😊

Finn-Fan Fix…

So – the Finn-meister is home.

And he’s a good Aussie.

Which is to say…he’s exhausted! 😊👍😊👍

He and Ryder played and swam and ran and played and swam and ran….

Here’s how the pick-up went…

On the way down there, I reminded Wayne that Finn was going to be terribly excited to see us.  He was likely going to do a lot of leaping and wiggling and jumping around.  Protect the belly!

We were prepared.

Finn – was not.  He walked into the room – flat footed.  Tail definitely wagged – but…he was very quiet.  I know he was happy to see us.

He simply didn’t have an iota of excess energy with which to express it!

He laid down on the floorboard of the van and slept all the way home.  As I type this – he’s sacked out flat on the floor in the bathroom where the tile is cool and the A/C is blowing on him.

All in all – a wonderful experience for him!

It was a little embarrassing listening to all the praise heaped upon his freckled face, though!

I got the distinct impression that they liked him.

At least a little bit! 😎😎
