Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes That’s The Wedding Tag!

Hey, y’all – from sunny St. Pete, Florida!  Easy peasy drive down yesterday – boy, I love my Odyssey!!  Was cool driving across the long bridge between Tampa and St. Pete.  There’s a sign at the start that warns….Long Bridge Ahead, Check Gas!  LOL – I’d just filled up, so it was all good!  I enjoyed watching the birds dive down into the bay as I crossed.

I didn’t get a picture of poor little Finny’s face this morning – he’s totally caught on to the suitcase.  He tried to body-block me – and it! – all the way down the hallway.  I felt really bad! 🙁

Before I get to my project – I know you need something Finn-ish!  So…. here we go!  A few weeks back, I took this picture – sort of randomly.  For some reason, this is one of his cutest parts to me!

Seriously??  Those not-so-little white toes!

It’s a terrible burden being such an object of affection.  Serious pressure to always be cute.  

Fortunately, he excels!

I promised a couple of wedding-related projects in the next couple of days – and today is the first installment!  I got a couple of gifts (in addition to a gift card) from Bed, Bath and Beyond and while I was there, I took advantage of their free gift wrapping station.  So all I had left to do was make a gift tag.  

Which I did – with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, a bit of That’s The Tag stamp set and a touch of Silver Glimmer….take a look-see:

FYI – that’s not black – that’s Elegant Eggplant.  Possibly one of the hardest colors to photograph and have look like what it is! 🙂

So – to begin, I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock, 2″ wide, punched the top with my Scallop Tag Topper Punch and rounded the bottom corners with the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board.

Using the fun little heart images from the That’s The Tag stamp set, I stamped them around in Elegant Eggplant.  I also added the little scroll-y-do at the top of the tag.

The That’s The Tag stamp set also has a handy “To: From:” sentiment – it’s all one stamp, so it’s already all lined up for you!  I added that – also in Elegant Eggplant.

The hearts and sentiment die cut are all from the great Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I cut a heart in Elegant Eggplant and one in Smoky Slate, then used some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the tag.

Then I cut the sentiment from a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper and adhered it in the middle!

To attach my tag to the gift, I ran a length of the silver and white ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.  I adhered the ribbon to the tag (right at the top) on both sides with a Glue Dot.  Then I tied an Elegant Eggplant Solid Baker’s Twine bow around the ribbon – and we were done!

So….why Silver/Gray/Elegant Eggplant?

Well….

….cuz it coordinates perfectly with the silver and purple I had at my disposal at Bed, Bath and Beyond!

Et Voila!  This was quick and easy to pull together thanks to the That’s The Tag stamp set images – and the die cuts in the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits are just too perfect for this kind of project!  Hope you like!
