Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a fun color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
My card for the blog today showcases the uber-adorable Bird’s Eye View stamp set and the you-NEED-this sentiment powerhouse – the Go To Greetings stamp set. All with Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP as the frame. Take a look-see:

I don’t want to brag but…I used all five colors! 😎😎😎
I started by using the next-to-largest Nested Essentials rectangle die to cut out two “frames” from a piece of Lemon Lime Twist paper from the Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP. HINT: The Glorious Gingham paper is one of the 13 papers on our huge DSP sale – that is going on RIGHT NOW! 😎
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP panel to a slightly-smaller piece of Basic White cardstock.
In the “windows” – I stamped two owls from the Bird’s Eye View set in Crumb Cake ink. Each owl got a pair of Pumpkin Pie eyeglasses.
I wrapped a length of Petal Pink and Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack around the panel – securing them in the back with Glue Dots.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the panel to a Pool Party mat.
I stamped a sentiment from the Go To Greetings set in Pumpkin Pie on a piece of Basic White – matted it on Pool Party and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used two more pieces of ribbon – one of each from the Ribbon Duo Combo – to tie a bow around the ribbon already on the card front.
I added some blue dots from the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots – they’re Coastal Cabana but…if you squint…they work perfectly! – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a set of Bird’s Eye View spectacles in Pumpkin Pie on a Basic White panel. Using my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, I added eyes and a little beak.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bird’s Eye View spectacles and hand-drawn eyes and beak on the front…
…and more Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I used the Bird’s Eye View set once before and thought it was adorable – and I STILL think so, don’t you?!? Eye glasses on owls – hello?! And the Go To Greetings is simply one that you MUST have. It’s going to be your…wait for it…GO TO sentiment set! 😉
