Stampin’ Up! Gone Fishing Good Things Congrats for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “For The Men/Boys”!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

When I first saw the Let’s Go Fishing Suite – I put it on my get-it-first list.  We ALWAYS need goodies for those hard-to-make masculine cards – and this is the perfect set!  Even for non-fisher-people!  I used the Gone Fishing bundle plus several different designs in the Let’s Go Fishing DSP for today’s card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by one of the pretty samples in the annual catalog!

I started by adhering a piece of the Let’s Go Fishing DSP on a Calypso Coral mat for the card front.  To that, I adhered a strip of the paper – this time in a Boho Blue color palette – and it looks sort of like water! 🙂

The top layer is yet another piece of the Let’s Go Fishing paper – for this one, I stamped the salmon image from Gone Fishing multiple times in stamped-off-once Calypso Coral.  Then I adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I used some Stampin’ Seal to adhere a loop of new 2023-2025 In Color Jute Twine – in Boho Blue.

From one of the Let’s Go Fishing designs, I used the die from Gone Fishing to cut out three fish images – I LOVE when dies cut out DSP pretties, don’t you?! 🙂

I popped the three fish onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Gone Fishing sentiment in Versamark on a piece of Calypso Coral, sprinkled it with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.  When it was cool, I cut it out with a Nested Essentials die and popped it over the jute loop with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of the same Let’s Go Fishing DSP design that I’d stamped with the fish, I stamped the lure image in Pebbled Path ink and cut it out with the matching Gone Fishing die.  I colored it with my Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend – and adhered it with a Dimensional.

From a piece of Boho Blue cardstock, I cut out the little lure feather and popped it onto the lure with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I added some Misty Moonlight gems from the new Tinsel Gems Three-Pack – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Gone Fishing sentiment in Calypso Coral.  Next to it I added the lure in Pebbled Path and colored it with the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. I added another blue tinsel gem – cuz they’re really pretty! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Gone Fishing lure in Pebbled Path and Calypso Coral on the front…

…and more of the Let’s Go Fishing DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh – I can see so many cool masculine cards with this Gone Fishing Bundle, can’t you?  And I’ve already used the Let’s Go Fishing DSP a few times already – and this is the FIRST one to have a “fishing” theme – so…it’s very very versatile!! 🙂Stampin' Up!
