Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready Delicate Desert Great Day Card

Happy Happy Hawwmmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!  We’ve got SPRING on STEROIDS here in GA!  Which means it’s in the 70’s with bright and sunny skies.  Well – if you squint thru the POLLEN haze! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.  Yikes!  Everything is a little yellow…but…the weather IS gorgeous!

I wanted to play with TWO new Online Exclusives today and so…I did!  I pulled out the adorable Rhino Ready bundle and the uber-cool Radiating Stitches Die set.  And set it all atop some Delicate Desert DSP!  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready Delicate Desert Great Day Card

This card was inspired by this Card Concept challenge.  I’m putting it in the Freestyle Collage style. 🙂

I started by adhering a piece of Delicate Desert DSP to the front of a Soft Succulent cardstock.

I used the Radiating Frame die set – a brand new Online Exclusive product – to make the Gray Granite frame.  Using the largest die in the set – with the next largest frame die set inside….

…I cut out the frame from Gray Granite cardstock.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut out a larger tree trunk die from the Rhino Ready set from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Two tree top die cuts – one from Evening Evergreen (adhered with Liquid Glue) and one from Soft Succulent (adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals) – were next!

I cut out a bunch of leaves from Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Pale Papaya cardstock.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere some of the leaves to the card front.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped one of the adorable horned-wonders from the Rhino Ready set  in Basic Gray Ink.  I colored the bird with the Dark Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend – and used the Light Gray Granite Blend to color the Rhino.  His horn is Light Smoky Slate.

I used the Color Lifter on the Rhino – and it created a mottled look that made me think of a rhino just come up from a nice mud wallow!

I popped him on with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Rhino Ready sentiment in Pale Papaya on a strip of Basic White, then I snipped a banner in the end with Paper Snips and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I added the remainder of the die cut leaves with Liquid Glue – and a Dimensional here and there to give them support!

I added some of the gold Iridescent Pastel Gems and the card front was done.

On the inside, I used the grass image from Rhino Ready to stamp across the bottom of a Basic White panel in Soft Succulent and then again in Evening Evergreen.  I used a Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend to color some of the blades.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and into the Soft Succulent card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the grass across the front…

…and more of the Delicate Desert DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness, y’all!  The Rhino Ready stamp set is so stinkin’ adorable and the bundled die set (with SEVENTEEN dies!!) is perfect !  It cuts out all the images – including the bird, which I cut and colored and forgot to add! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ – PLUS the extra leaves (which I love!) and tree parts!  And the Radiating Stitches…too cool for school!!  It fully cuts out all the shapes – with the wonderful stitching in the frames!
