Stampin’ Up! CAS Dainty Flowers are a Delight for a Celebration!

Happy Monday, y’all!  As predicted – it arrived on schedule!  So…all’s right with the world for the moment!

But – there’s something about today’s card that might shift YOUR world a little!  Will you be able to guess it?!?  Read on!

The card in question is a clean and simple little number that went together quick as a bunny – thanks in no small part to the gorgeous (and FREE during Sale-A-Bration!!) Dainty Flowers DSP!  A quick sentiment from the Dainty Delight stamp set – and an embellishment or two – and I was done!  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! CAS Dainty Flowers are a Delight for a Celebration!

The layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I started by adhering a piece of the wunnermus Dainty Flowers DSP (you can STILL get this free with a $50+ order – but…only thru the end of the month!) to the front of an Old Olive card base using Liquid Glue.

Then I matted a second piece of the DSP onto a Crushed Curry mat and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the border die in the Marigold Moments Die set…

…I cut two Basic White borders.  Tip – use a strip of cardstock a little longer than you need (you need a finished length of 5 1/2″) to cut the borders.  Then you can trim them down to size and have a little more control over how the ends of the strips look!

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the two strips to the card front – snugging them right up against the Crushed Curry mat.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped a Dainty Delight sentiment in Starry Sky ink and cut it out with the smallest of the wider Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a small simple bow from Linen Thread and adhered it to the sentiment with a Glue Dot.

Using more Glue Dots, I adhered three Dragonfly Trinkets – one of them right over the Linen Thread bow.

Using my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend, I colored three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and adhered them to the sentiment – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the largest Dainty Delight floral image in Mossy Meadow and a smaller image in Old Olive ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into the Old Olive card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large and small Dainty Delight floral images on the front…

…and more of the Dainty Flowers DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow – this Dainty Flowers DSP is absolutely the bestest, isn’t it?!?  Just gorgeous – and totally deserving of being the star of the show!  And free on top of it?!?  Mind…Blown!  All you need is a sentiment – and the coordinating Dainty Delight stamp set is up for the job!  And…don’t you love the sweet little edging from the Marigold Moments Dies?!  I know I do! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

When I get up in the morning with my cup of coffee and have a peaceful hour to myself.

That first moment when I get in bed at night – ready to watch a little tv with a cup of decaf and fall asleep. (Yes, coffee is a common denominator…)

And this..

These are some of my very FAVORITE times of my day!
