Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora Fun Fold Thank You with Video Tutorial

Good morning!  Hope your weekend is going well!  We’re back to the arctic, I guess.  After the relatively hot days – not really hot but…hot for January! – that we had last week, we’re feeling pretty brrrr-ly these days!  The after-storm-system blustery wind isn’t helping.  Only Finn and the girls are happy! 😉

I’ve got an easy – and yet very cool! – fun fold for you today.  It’s a Z-fold card and it showcases the sweet Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Two-Tone Flora bundle from the Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog! The Kind & Sincere sentiment set is a perfect finishing touch!  Take a look-see:

The color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge this week!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock that, using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored on the long side at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″,  and 7″.

Then I folded the 7″ score as a “normal”  valley fold.  I folded the other lines in opposite directions. So…. 1 3/4″ (mountain), 3 1/4″ (valley), 5 1/4″ (mountain), 7″ (valley).

I matted four pieces of pretty Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce patterned paper from the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on four Sweet Sorbet mats and then adhered them to the four narrow panels with Liquid Glue.

The small card, that creates the pop-up feature, is a 3″ x 6″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock, scored and folded at 3″.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used the two-step flower images from the Two-Tone Flora set to stamp a large and a medium flower.  First, I stamped the  “detail” image – in full strength Sweet Sorbet.  Then I added  the second step – the “fill” images – in stamped off once Sweet Sorbet.

I also stamped the leaves image three times in Shaded Spruce ink.  Then I used the coordinating dies in the Two-Tone Flora set to cut everything out.

Before adhering the flowers and leaves, I stamped the Kind & Sincere sentiments – starting with “Kind” and then adding “You’re Too” – in Shaded Spruce on the bottom of a Basic White square.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the flowers and leaves in place.

I matted the panel on Sweet Sorbet and then to the front of the little Early Espresso card base with Liquid Glue.  On the other side of the card, I adhered a slightly different design from the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP that had been matted on Sweet Sorbet.

I used Liquid Glue on the back side of the card base to adhere it to the large card – creating the “z”.  Best to check out the video down below to see how to get that done! You can see it at about the 23 min mark! 🙂

For the back panel, I used the small flower cluster image in the outside corners – stamping the fill image first in stamped-off-once Sweet Sorbet and then the detail image in full-strength Sweet Sorbet.

I added the Kind & Sincere sentiment in Shaded Spruce – making sure it was “cheated” to the left side a little so that it would be completely hidden when the card is closed.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and the onto the back panel and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small cluster of flowers from Two-Tone Flora on the front…

…and more Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this fun and easy Z-Fold card – and it gives LOTS of card-estate to showcase our beautiful papers like the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP – which is becoming one of my faves in the new catalog!  Two-Tone Flora is a stunning bundle – the two-step images fit together perfectly to create gorgeous flowers that can be die cut lickety-split!  And – the sentiment pairings in the Kind & Sincere sentiment set are beautiful and versatile and wunnermus!
