Well good morning and Happy Happy Hawwwmp DAY!! Hope your week is going well – I’ve been baking – a lot! Can’t share pics cuz…don’t want to spoil a surprise or two but…let’s just say my sourdough has been keepin’ busy!! 😉
In between bakes – you know – put it in the oven, turn on the timer, head to the craft room! – I made a super cute card for you today that’ll give you a sneaky look at two new products! The Adorable Owls stamp set – FREE during Sale-a-Bration (starting on 5 Jan!) with a $50+ order! – and the Flowers & More DSP – a Host-Exclusive pack of paper in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog. Take a look-see:
I know! That little owl-dude (or dude-ette!) is just SO stinkin’ cute! And…there’s MORE!
The layout for this card is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge this week!
I started with two Parakeet Party papers from the Flowers & More DSP that I matted on a piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock using Liquid Glue. I selected a third design – in Tahitian Tide – and matted it on Tahitian Tide cardstock. That’s adhered over the small gap between the first two papers using more Liquid Glue.
I picked yet another design – there are SOOO many pretty papers in this bright and happy paper pack…
…and matted it on Tahitian Tide.
I wrapped some Tahitian Tide 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon twice around the matted panel, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots. Using a length of the Tahitian Tide 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon and a length of Parakeet Party 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon, I tied a bow around the wrapped ribbon.
Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped one of the little Adorable Owls in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored him with my Dark Crumb Cake, Light Soft Suede, Light Parakeet Party, Light Tahitian Tide and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
Then I cut the little hooter out with the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.
I popped him onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Parakeet Party cardstock, I stamped the Adorable Owls sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink. Then I used Paper Snips to cut out the two “HOOT!” words. These I popped on with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Well – a HALF Stampin’ Dimensional! 😉
I added some Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Adorable Owls sentiment in Tahitian Tide on a Basic White panel. Across the bottom, I added a narrow strip of the Flowers & More DSP with Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Tahitian Tide panel and then into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little hoot-owl peeking in from the corner…
…and more of the Flowers & More DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh my goodness – this little Adorable Owl SURE does live up to his title, doesn’t he?! His simple sentiments are perfect for so many cards! It’s pretty cool that he’s a FREE set, too, right?? And…the Flowers & More DSP is…wunnermus! It’s so bright and happy and cheerful – it’s Spring on paper!
