Stampin’ Up! Something Fancy with Two-Tone Flora Congrats Card!

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was good and that you’re headed into a GREAT week!!

I’ve got a pretty card for you today – and it’s ALSO easy!  Winner winner!  It uses the two “anchor” bundles in the new Fancy Flora Suite – available to you on 5 Jan (which is SOON!) in the new Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog!  The Two-Tone Flora and Something Fancy bundles were meant to work together and they do it SO well!  Especially when you ALSO add some Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Take a look-see!

Stampin' Up! Something Fancy with Two-Tone Flora Congrats Card!

The layout for this beauty is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started by adhering a full cardbase-sized piece of the gorgeous Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of an Orchid Oasis card base using Liquid Glue.  Y’all – this is such stunning paper!  Looks like Monet paintings!

Using the big die from the Two-Tone Floral die set…

…I cut the pretty lacy die cut from an Orchid Oasis cardstock panel.  Using little dabs of Liquid Glue, I adhered the die cut to the front of the card.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere two lengths of Soft Succulent 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon.  Sorry – took the picture AFTER I’d added the leaves.  But – you get the idea! 🙂

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the large two-step flower from the Two-Tone Flora set twice – the detailed image in Calypso Coral and the fill image in Daffodil Delight.  Tip:  stamp the darker color – Calypso Coral – FIRST!  That makes it EVER so much easier to line up the larger (lighter!) image!

I also stamped the leaves twice in Soft Succulent.

Then I cut everything out with the coordinating dies in the Two-Tone Flora die set.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the leaves to the card front – then I added the flowers over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Something Fancy sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink and used a die from the bundled Something Fancy die set to cut out the sentiment.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side of the sentiment to adhere it to the card front – tucking it into the floral arrangement as I did so.

I added three Calypso Coral gems from the new Iridescent Pastel Gems (available 5 Jan 2023) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I first stamped the detailed Two-Tone Floral flower image in Calypso Coral and then stamped the fill over the top in Daffodil Delight ink in the corner of a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the fill image on a piece of Masking Paper and fussy cut it to create a…well.  MASK!  Which I put over the flower – then I stamped the leaves in Soft Succulent over the flower (with the mask in place).  When I carefully pulled up the mask – the leaves were – magically! – BEHIND the flower! 😎😎😎

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and into the Orchid Oasis card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Two-Tone Flora flower and masked leaves on the front…

…and more of the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the tone-on-tone of the Two-Tone Flora die cut panel atop the Fancy Flora DSP card front, don’t you?  And the stunning flowers stamp and cut beautifully!  The coordinating Something Fancy is simply chock-a-block filled with wonderful sentiments – and flowers of its own – making it a perfect addition to your tool chest!!  Have you added this Suite to your list yet??  I think you should!

Been in the stall rooting around for food morsels that Cerah dropped??

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the delicate die cut background over the designer paper, perfect! And no, I’m sure that he was not in the stall where he wasn’t supposed to be…only a naughty dog would do that and Finn certainly isn’t that. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

For sure! He’s the bestest most innocentest dog around! 😉 Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Kate

Surely you don’t think thst speck is sweet feed? Nah…he knows the elf is on the shelf!!

    • stampsnlingers

It’s SHAVINGS! That he was rooting around in LOOKING for the sweet feed!! LOL!

  3. Faith Simpson

    As for Finn…..caught!! Just can’t help himself…..but he’s sorry, I’m sure…..

He’s sorry he was caught! ROFL! And yes – flower cards are the bestest! Thanks, Faith! 🙂

  4. Gail S.

Beautiful way to use that large die over such pretty DSP! Finn would really appreciate having a “doggy mirror” available before he exits the stall, I’m sure. Kind of like we check to see if a slip is showing. lol

    • stampsnlingers

Exactly right – that would give him a chance to “hide” the evidence! 🙂 Thanks so much, Gail! 🙂

  5. Mary I love the contrast of colours and the beautiful die cut background!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Kylie! Appreciate you coming by! 🙂
