Stampin’ Up! Thanks a Bunch Sneak Peek Fun Fold with Video Tutorial

Good morning and Happy FRI-YAY!  We’re headed into the last weekend before Christmas and…I hope you’re ready.  Or at least have a clear plan for BEING ready!  We’re getting there – the baking is 90% done (I REALLY need to stop ADDING things to the list!!) – and most things will be delivered or mailed today.  So…score one for us!! 🙂

I DID take a break yesterday to go out on my YouTube channel to spend a little time with some of you and make a cute fun fold – let’s call it a Front Flap Fun Fold!  It features the totes adorbs Thanks a Bunch stamp set and pretty Dandy Designs DSP!  These are BOTH going to be free to you during the upcoming Jan-Feb Sale-A-Bration kicking off on 5 Jan!  YEAH!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge!

I started by adhering a piece of Dandy Designs DSP (this is a HUGE stack of pretty 12″ x 12″ paper that you’ll be able to select for FREE with a $100+ order during SAB)…

…to a Pale Papaya mat and then to my Granny Apple Green card base (which is a flat piece of cardstock – no fold!) using Liquid Glue.

On a small piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the carrots from the Thanks a Bunch set (which you’ll be able to get free with a $50+ order during Sale-a-Bration!) in Pale Papaya.  This is a two-step set – so this was the large “full” carrot image…

I stamped it five or six times with the “top” of the carrots about half-way up the panel.  I did the second-step stamp with Pumpkin Pie ink.

Next up – I stamped one of the leaf images in Pear Pizzazz – a few times in full strength and a few in stamped-off-once ink – across the top.

Then I stamped the second leaf image – the lacy looking leaf – several times in Granny Apple Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and then on to the front of a small Pale Papaya card base (3″ x 8″ – scored and folded at 4″).  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered this small card to the larger card base – centering it on the panel.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a narrow strip of Dandy Designs DSP (this is a Pale Papaya design) to the card front.

I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

Then I stamped the word “Thanks” from the Thanks A Bunch set in Pear Pizzazz on a Basic White strip – then added “a Bunch” in Granny Apple Green next to it. I cut angled ends with my Paper Snips and then used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.

I added some new Iridescent Pastel Gems and the small card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Pear Pizzazz on a Basic White panel.  Across the bottom I stamped the small three-carrot image from Thanks A Bunch in Pumpkin Pie ink.  Then I added the lacy leaves in Granny Apple Green – using full strength and stamped-off-once images.  Then I matted the panel on a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.

I tore a narrow strip of Soft Suede cardstock and used Liquid Glue to adhere it across the bottom of the panel – to make “ground”. 😎

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the matted panel to the inside of the small card base and the card front was done!

For the back panel, I stamped the three-carrot image again across the bottom of a Basic White panel in Pumpkin Pie ink and added the Granny Apple Green (full strength and stamped-off-once) leaves.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pale Papaya mat.

Another torn strip of Soft Suede cardstock, adhered with Liquid Glue, finished it off.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the entire panel to the back of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Pumpkin Pie three-carrot image and Granny Apple Green leaves a few times on the front…

…and a little more Dandy Designs DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – this stamp set is too cute!  I love punny little sentiments and the Thanks A Bunch set has them for sure!  Wouldn’t this be a fun card for your favorite gardener!?  On the YouTube video yesterday featuring this card, we even talked about how you could make it into a seed packet gift holder!  And – the Dandy Designs DSP is rapidly becoming a “go-to” for me – and I think it will for you, too!  It doesn’t hurt that both these products will be FREE during Sale-A-Bration with qualifying purchases!  FREE = Yes, PLEASE! 😉
