Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Sneak Peek Birthday with Gathered Wheat!

Welcome back to the work week!  Are you ready for it??

Just FYI – doesn’t really matter if you are or aren’t – it’s happening!  Sorry! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

But – maybe a pretty birthday card – with a sneak peek of a little beauty that you can pick up on 1 Nov (or – you know – right now!!) – will cheer you up.  I used the Framed Florets stamp set  – this is the sneak peek! – and the Gathered Wheat bundle (from the current Jul – Dec 2022 Mini).  And a smidge of gingham paper from the Fitting Florets (ALSO available on 1 Nov).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And I chose several elements (Gingham, Green, Wheat, Die Cut) from the Festive Friday Inspo List.

I started by stamping the spatter image from Gathered Wheat in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry ink – all around the center of a Basic White panel.  Then I embossed the panel in the Gingham Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Soft Succulent mat using Liquid Glue.

I matted a small piece of Evening Evergreen Gingham Paper (I know it looks black in the photo – sorry – but it’s a beauteous Evening Evergreen!) from the Fitting Florets DSP on Soft Succulent.  Did you know that you could join right now and add this paper – plus the entire Fitting Florets suite – to your Starter Kit – and STILL have $55 to spend on other goodies?  Yes – it’s true!  I adhered the matted panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the single wheat stalk from Gathered Wheat twice in Crushed Curry on a piece of Basic White and cut them both out with the matching die in the Wheat Die set.  I also cut three wheat tops from Crushed Curry.

I snipped the stamped stalks into two pieces and also snipped the little tail from each of the Crushed Curry wheat tops.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere all the pieces to the card front.  See how I was able to make the all die cuts appear “longer”??  This works because I’m going to cover up the center!

I used Stampin’ Seal + to add a loose loop-de-doo from some Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Windowpane Ribbon.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from the Framed Florets set in Evening Evergreen then used the third-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut it out.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the ribbon.

Then I added some pretty Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done! 🙂

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from the Framed Florets set in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel.  Over the top I added the Gathered Wheat stalk in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry. Then I added some more of the Brushed Brass Butterflies – they’re so flat that they’re perfect for INSIDE your cards!! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Succulent mat and into the Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gathered Wheat stalk in Crushed Curry on the front…

…and more of the uber-pretty Evening Evergreen Fitting Florets DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Gathered Wheat and the bundled Wheat Dies just feels so perfect at this time of year – for me it really makes me feel like Fall is here!!  I DO love those sweet little wheat top dies!  Framed Florets – which you’ll see in the Jan – Jun 2023 Mini Catalog (AND be able to get on 1 Nov!) is filled with pretty floral images and great sentiments – I love the fonts they used!  And the Fitting Florets DSP – which will ONLY be available to customers from 1 Nov thru 4 Jan (yup it is NOT in the next mini catalog!) is just gorgeous.  You know I’m a sucker for Gingham – but…there are a BUNCH of wonderful designs in the paper!!

Finn Fan Fix

Finny went to see Abby at Skippety-Do-Dog the other day.

I grabbed two shots of his “clean & shiny” self just before he leapt out of the van and began the work to return to his prefered sticker-covered-dirty-feathered Farm Dog persona.

I like this one best.

But…he sort of thinks that his left side is his best side.

What do you think??

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the gingham with the wheat, perfect for fall! Yeah, the left side is definitely Finn’s best side. 😉 How long did it take him to be covered in stickers and dirt?? 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

About 30 min for the stickers. A little longer for any dirt that “stuck! LOL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. He might think his left side is best, but I agree with you.
