Stampin’ Up! Decorated with Happiness with Lights Aglow Christmas Card

Happy Happy Hawwwpm Day, y’all!

Uhm…did you see my SECOND post yesterday??  About the 24-hour Flash Sale on EVERY stamp set in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog (except Host sets) on 15 Sept?!? That’s TOMORROW.  So… I’m reminding you TODAY about a post from YESTERDAY regarding a sale that is TOMORROW!  ALL timelines covered!  You can read all the deets down below! 😉

My card today is back to Christmas – I’ve opened the floodgates and it’s going to be hard to un-ring this Christmas-card bell.  Sorry! 😉  This one uses the pretty Decorated with Happiness stamp set with its bundled Decorated Pine dies – which has one of my fave pine boughs of all time in it!  I added a smidge of gold-embossed Lights Aglow Specialty DSP and…some Timber embossing!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge this week!

I started by embossing a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on Cherry Cobbler to make the card front.

Then I matted a smaller panel – a gold-embossed Very Vanilla piece of Lights Aglow Specialty DSP – on a piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using that wunnermus pine bough die in the Decorated Pine die set, I cut an Evening Evergreen and a gold Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper bough.

I adhered both boughs to the card front with Liquid Glue.

With two lengths of Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, I tied a simple bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I stamped a Decorated with Happiness sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with a banner die from the Stylish Shapes Die set.

I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.

Finally, I added some Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls around the collage – and a gold Festive Pearl on the sentiment – and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Decorated with Happiness in Cherry Cobbler on a Very Vanilla panel.  In the corner, I stamped the big pine bough from Decorated with Happiness in Evening Evergreen – stamping twice without re-inking.  Then I added a gold Festive Pearl.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and to the inside of my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Decorated with Pine bough in Evening Evergreen on the front…

…and more of the Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – I don’t think I need to ‘splain why I love the Decorated with Happiness stamp set and bundled Decorated Pine dies, do I?  The reason is RIGHT THERE on the front of the card – and stamped on the inside!  And…Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Specialty DSP is one of the most totally gorgeous papers EVER – in wonderful traditional Christmas colors and gold foil!!

Finn Fan Fix

You MAY not be aware of the fact that Finn is a bit of a….health nut.

He really likes cottage cheese.  Cuz of how it’s…you know…healthy!

It takes a little effort to eat it so…it’s like…celery!  He burns more calories eating it than there are in the carton!  It’s science.

Fortunately – he’s got big ole hands so he can hold the carton and get ALL the nooks and crannies!

Waste not –  want not!

Kind of his motto. 😉

Agree with all your sentiments about that pine bough and the lovely DSP. There’s not even going to be a shred left when I’m finished with that pack! Thanks for the layout/idea to get even more cards out of the DSP. This card is beautiful! Hugs to Finn!
