Stampin’ Up! Fresh Cut Flowers & Stems for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Today is the launch of the Perfect Partners Promotion (it runs 1 – 30 Sept ONLY!) and one of the cool die sets is Fresh Cut Stems – which coordinates with the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  I used that – plus some sweet Abigail Rose DSP – for today’s card.  Take a look-see:

And here’s the sketch we all worked with this week!

I started with a pretty striped pattern from Abigail Rose and matted it on a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock for the card front.  I selected another design and cut a fourth-from-smallest Deckled Rectangle Die.  I adhered the die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut a Very Vanilla panel with the same fourth-from-smallest Deckled Rectangle Die and then used an Artistic Mix Decorative Mask and a Blending Brush to lightly add some Petal Pink to the panel.

I adhered the stenciled panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the pretty foliage die in the new Fresh Cut Stems dies to cut two from Very Vanilla and one from Soft Sea Foam – then adhered them all to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Very Vanilla, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the large floral from Fresh Cut Flowers in Smoky Slate ink.  Then I colored it with my Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.

I cut the image out with the coordinating die from Fresh Cut Stems – and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used two lengths of Linen Thread to tie a simple bow around some Soft Sea Foam 3/8″ Seam Binding Ribbon then adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped a sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set in Smoky Slate.  Then I cut it out with a label die from the Cracker & Treat Box Die set.  I adhered it to the card front with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a smaller floral from Fresh Cut Flowers in Smoky Slate on a Very Vanilla panel.  I colored it with the Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the small Fresh Cut Flowers floral image on the front…

…and more of the Abigail Rose DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Fresh Cut Flowers was ALREADY an amazing and gorgeous stamp set – but…the addition of the Fresh Cut Stems dies takes it to a whole new level of BOOMSHAKALAKA!!  I love these dies!!  Abigail Rose DSP is truly gorgeous with it’s soft, vintage colors.  The Go-To Greetings set is aptly named – you’ll reach for it again and again!  And finally – don’t miss the Cracker & Treat Box Dies – there’s like FIVE label dies hidden in the set that are perfect!!
