Stampin’ Up! Spruced Up Outlines Christmas Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  Hope you’ve got a great week ahead of you!

I am really trying to not make Christmas cards yet.  It just seems too early – I mean -if I make them all NOW then…what will I panic about when it’s time to mail them!??! 😉

I said I am trying.  I fail a lot.  Today’s card is one of my failures – I used the fun new Spruced Up stamp set and bundled Spruced Up Outlines die set.  And some…Storybook Gnomes DSP! Take a look see!

Stampin' Up! Spruced Up Outlines Christmas Card

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started by embossing a piece of Basic White cardstock in the new Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder (which I hope is on your list – or already on your shelf! 😎😎😎) and then I adhered the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat for the card front.

Using the next-to-smallest of the fatter rectangles in the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I cut three rectangles from a piece of snowflake-strewn Storybook Gnomes DSP.  I adhered the three rectangles to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the small tree from the Spruced Up stamp set in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and cut it with its matching die from the bundled Spruced Up Outlines set.  I also cut out a Pool Party tree and then stamped the snowflakes from the set on that tree in Bermuda Bay ink.

The Spruced Up Outlines is a really fun set – the dies cut a solid image – trees, gifts, ornaments, etc – PLUS an outline die cut with just one pass thru the cutter. So that means I already had four trees cut! 🙂

Using the large tree die, I cut out a Soft Sea Foam tree and another one in Shaded Spruce (I only used the outline die cut from this one – I needed an odd number!).

I adhered all the trees to the card front using Liquid Glue – starting with the ones near the top (which are also on the bottom!).  That top Shaded Spruce outline tree is the large one I mentioned! 🙂

The final tree – the small, stamped Shaded Spruce one – is popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Spruced Up sentiment in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with the small Stylish Shapes banner die.

I used a little Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

I added some – okay, kind of a bunch! – of Adhesive Backed Stars and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used two Spruced Up images to create my sentiment.  I inked the top line of the “May It Be Yours…” sentiment in Shaded Spruce to stamp that line on a Basic White panel.  Under it I added the word Christmas in Shaded Spruce.  Then I stamped the snowflakes once in stamped-off-once Bermuda Bay and added an Adhesive Backed Star.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got stamped-off-once Bermuda Bay stars on the front…

…and more of the Storybook Gnomes DSP on the envelope flap.

Finn Fan Fix

In the summer, we like a salad that has watermelon chunks in it (and Arugula, Feta, Grape Tomatoes and red onions – it’s yummy!).

So – I got a small watermelon and cut it up.

Finny likes watermelon!

Kind of a lot! 😉
