Stampin’ Up! Mistletoe Magic for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I’ve been seeing Christmas in July cards so…figured I’d play along with everyone!  So – I pulled out the new Mistletoe Magic Bundle and some Painted Christmas DSP (new – but..not really!  It’s a returning fave from last season!).  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I started with a piece of the Painted Christmas DSP that I matted on Evening Evergreen for the card front.  Over the top, I used Liquid Glue (where it would be hidden by other elements on the card front), to adhere a piece of Lovely Layers 3 3/4″ x 5″ Vellum that I’d cut down a bit.

I matted another piece of the Painted Christmas DSP on Evening Evergreen and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the next-to-largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut an Evening Evergreen circle, which I adhered with Liquid Glue.  Tip:  if you’re into cardstock-rationing, you can cut this circle from the front mat if you like.  I wouldn’t do it from the inner liner mat – it might make it harder to write a personal note!

Using Stampin’ Seal +, I adhered a length of White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon.

I used the big detailed mistletoe die in the Mistletoe Die set (bundled with the Mistletoe Magic stamp set) to cut a Soft Succulent and a Pear Pizzazz sprig.  I adhered the Soft Succulent sprig to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut two pine boughs from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I cut a bunch of berries using the dies in the Mistletoe set from a piece of Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Paper – and I also cut the bow die.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the Pear Pizzazz sprig to the card front and the Glimmer berries to the sprig.  I also added the Glimmer bow.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Mistletoe Magic sentiment in Evening Evergreen and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Soft Succulent Festive Pearls and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Mistletoe Magic in Evening Evergreen on a piece of Basic White, then stamped a small Mistletoe sprig over the top in Soft Sea Foam.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into a Soft Succulent card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Mistletoe Magic sprig in Soft Sea Foam on the front…

…and more of the Painted Magic DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – the Mistletoe Magic bundle is definitely going to be a NEW favorite – I LOVE the pretty fonts and images in the stamp set and the foliage in the bundled Mistletoe Dies is so cool!  And playing with the Painted Christmas DSP reminded me why I was so happy that it carried over from last year!
