Stampin’ Up! July Paper Pumpkin Peek and…My Retired Products Store has been Updated!

Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope the week is going well!

So – to start with – I wanted to let you know that I have – FINALLY! – gotten my Retired Products from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, the Jan – Jun 2022 Mini Catalog and some miscellaneous here’s and there’s – all up in my Retired Products Store!  It’s a GREAT opportunity to get some of your faves – gently used! – at great prices (like…half off!).  So be sure to head over there and snag your goodies. 🙂

Now – let’s talk Paper Pumpkin!  I got my July Paper Pumpkin the other day – all three copies!  It’s called the Sending Good Thoughts Kit and I was pretty excited its seaside theme!  So out it came and I put together the 9 pretty cards in just about an hour!

Inside the box, there was a Bermuda Bay Ink Spot and a cute – exclusive! – stamp set.

I took a picture of the rest of the things you’ll find in the box…

…but Stampin’ Up! gave us a WAY better picture on the included instructional insert.

I LOVE the die cuts – starfish, seahorses, coral and sea birds!  And all the card fronts are dry-embossed – with waves or clouds or watery ripples!

Now.  I’m going to confess something.  I…borked two out of three of the designs in this kit.  Yes.  It’s true.  I did NOT adequately look at the which-parts-go-where picture…which is to say that I didn’t look at it AT ALL.

Look at the picture in your box.  Make sure, for example – that you’re stamping the right bottle die cut with the correct stamp meant for the card you’re working on.   And – be sure you select the right card base, too.  But – I think the cards turned out great ANYWAY – so…feel free to let your creative juices flow!

This first card design is so pretty – I wouldn’t have thought of pairing Fresh Freesia with Poppy Parade, would you?  But those smart SU designers did and it totally works!

All the envelopes are the same – so I did a little decorating on them (AND on the inside of the cards!) to coordinate them with “their” card!  How cute is that little stamped seahorse?!?

It’s a message-in-a-bottle for the next design – and I really like the pretty coral die cut on this one!  I added a little Balmy Blue for the inside and envelope. 🙂

Finally – this is the ONLY ship-in-a-bottle that I’ve seen where I KNOW how that boat got there!  And I love the die-cut seagulls swooping around!

I was really tickled with this kit, y’all – love all of the designs – and there are plenty of layers and collage-y elements, too!
