Stampin’ Up! Brightest Beauty for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a fun sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The bundle I used for today’s card – the Brightest Beauty Bundle – is another one in the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog…that you might have missed!  I used it with the cool Hive 3D Embossing Folder and gorgeous Rustic Harvest DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

I thought it fit pretty perfectly with the theme challenge over at The Paper Players this week, too! 🙂

I started by adhering a piece of the Rustic Harvest DSP to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base using Liquid Glue.

Next, I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the largest Deckled Rectangle Die.  Then I embossed the die cut in the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

I cut the embossed panel down to 4 1/4″ wide and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the larger leaf/stem die in the new Golden Beauty dies – bundled with the Brightest Beauty stamp set – I cut out five of the leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock.

I laid them out…

…and then adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I used all three of the “flower” dies in the die set…

…to cut out a whole SLEW of Crushed Curry flowers.

Each of the flowers is adhered with Liquid Glue.  I used all but four of the flowers that I’d cut out!

I used some Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a length of Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin-Edge Ribbon across the card front.

On another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Brightest Beauty stamp set in Mossy Meadow and cut it out with the label die in the Golden Beauty die set.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I tied a Double-Loop bow.

a. Wrap the Linen Thread around four fingers four times.
b. Without cutting the thread, wrap around two fingers four times.
c. Pull the loops off and squeeze the loops together.
d. Twist the loops one time around to create a “figure 8”.
e. Tie a second short length of Thread around the loops in the middle.
f. Spread the loops out to create a bow.

I did a short video on how to make this cool bow – if you’d like to see it – here ‘tis!

I adhered the bow to the sentiment label with a Glue Dot, added a bevy of Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done!

On the inside, I cut another of the largest Deckled Rectangle Die from a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the large floral image from Brightest Beauty in Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I used the Stamparatus to stamp the “fill” image in Crushed Curry.  I even added some more Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut to the inside of the card and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the two-step floral from Brightest Beauty on the front…

…and more of the Rustic Harvest DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh yes – I was right to be wanting this wonderful Brightest Beauty Bundle, don’t you think?!  It is so pretty and I love the die cut leaves and flowers!  And I think it’s perfect atop the Hive 3D embossed panel and the pretty Rustic Harvest DSP!

I hope you like!

  6. WOW! Love this card. Somehow I overlooked that stamp bundle, now I need to get it. I love those leaves, and the inside is especially beautiful. Only one small criticism, and it is very small…with the hive embossing folder, I would have liked to see BEES instead of butterflies. Still beautiful though. May have to CASE this one when I get the appropriate bundle.

It’s a wonderful set! And yes – bees would have been better! Wish we still had them. Thanks so much, Julie! 🙂
