Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Thinking of You Card

Good morning and happy new week!  Did you have a good weekend??  We got a lot done – new garden beds going in – more seeds started.  We’re just like Greenacres.

Have you heard?  It’s the place I want to be! 😉

My card for today is quite botanical and uses one of my favorite bundles from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  You know, one of the totally cool things about the Savings Are in Bloom promotion is that it helps to remind us of the cool and wunnermus things in the annual catalog (well – 20% off is ALSO a pretty cool thing!) – like…Quiet Meadow and the bundled Meadow Dies!  Check out what I made for you today!

The layout for this one if from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And the colors are from the Color Throwdown challenge – although I subtle-ized them!

And I picked several elements as a result of the As You See It Recipe board.

I started by adhering a piece of Crumb Cake paper from the Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP to the front of my Soft Succulent card base, using Liquid Glue.

I stamped a sentiment from Quiet Meadow in Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel.

I stamped the Quiet Meadow “splatters” twice in stamped-off-once Pale Papaya ink.

Then I embossed the panel in the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Tip: don’t try to stamp your sentiment AFTER you emboss the panel.  It’s not ideal. 😉

I matted the panel on a piece of Pool Party cardstock and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the amazeballs Meadow Dies (bundled with Quiet Meadow and on sale right now for just $47!), I cut two Pool Party grasses, a Soft Succulent wildflower (actually, I think that’s cilantro!) and a Pale Papaya wildflower.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut flowers to the card front.

I stamped the little “love” sentiment in Pale Papaya on Basic White and cut it with the tiny tag die in the Meadows Die set.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the tag to the stems.

I tied a little bow from the Crumb Cake twine in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Quiet Meadow in Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel.  Over the top I stamped the splatters in stamped-off-once Pale Papaya.  Then I added a little Brushed Brass Butterfly.  Cuz…why not?! 😉

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into the Soft Succulent card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Quiet Meadow “splatters” on the front in stamped-off-once Pale Papaya – as well as the little “love” sentiment in Soft Succulent…

…and a little more of the Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love love love the dies in the Meadow Die set, don’t you? So many wildflowers to cut in any color that strikes your fancy! And the gorgeous bundled Quiet Meadow set has perfect sentiments and images (like…check out the scripty sentiment!).

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

We’ve been working on Phase II of the garden – some new beds, and a lot more mulch.  Every ride to get mulch requires an OSHA ride-along.

For…safety! 😉

Not gonna lie – our inspector is pretty stinkin’ cute!  I mean…he’s not very tall but…he hasn’t let that slow him down.

See him?

And you can tell he REALLY loves his job!

  1. Such a pretty card, the colors are perfect and I love the clean design! 🙂 The supervisor does appear to have a furry nose peeking out the window. Good thing that the boss is on duty. 😉
