Stampin’ Up! Strong of Heart Sneak Peek Reverse Easel-Fold with Video Tutorial

Good morning, y’all! I hope your weekend is going well! We’ve spent it close to home – Wayne is doing dirt work and I got my craft room organizing all… “done”! 😉

This card features a new set – called Strong of Heart – from the new Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog available on 3 Aug. And the host-exclusive Pattern Party DSP (get this one right now with a workshop or individual order of $180 or more in retail!). Take a look-see:

The color palette is from the Global Design Project’s color challenge – although my blue is Misty Moonlight. 🤷‍♀️

This is a Reverse – Easel fun fold card – and I got the basics for how to do it from Sam Calcott in the UK at Mixed Up Craft. 🙂

I started with a piece of Basic Black, cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, then I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score at the 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″ on the long side.

I folded the 2 1/8″ score as a “mountain” fold and the 4 1/4″ score as a “valley”.

I cut a piece of black paper from the Pattern Party DSP, matted it on Coastal Cabana and then adhered it to the large “inside” panel with Liquid Glue.

Next are two smaller panels of Pattern Party DSP – the Misty Moonlight design – matted on Coastal Cabana and adhered to the two smaller front panels with Liquid Glue.

I cut out the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set from a piece of Basic White, then stamped it with the large, flower-embellished heart from the Strong of Heart set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. When it was good and dry, I colored the leaves with my Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker and the flowers with my Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo.

Using Liquid Glue on just the top half of the back of the die cut, I adhered it to the top panel of the fun-folded card base – thus creating the easel.

I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana on Basic White and cut it with a Tasteful Labels die. Then I popped it onto the art panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I made an “easel stopper” using a black-and-white flower-strewn piece of the Pattern Party DSP. First I colored the flowers with my Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo. Then I matted it on Coastal Cabana and popped it onto the large panel with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I flipped the card over and added a sentiment panel. The Strong of Heart sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana on Basic White and flanked by a couple of Polished Pink hearts. It’s matted on Coastal Cabana and adhered to the back panel of the card base with Liquid Glue.

I added another Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends-colored Pattern Party DSP strip to the adjacent panel of the card base – and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a few Polished Pink Strong of Heart hearts on the front…

…and more of the Pattern Party DSP on the envelope flap.

Alabama's Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Underway Through Sunday - Alabama News

Thirteen states will be offering a sales tax holiday during the months of July or August. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia) are the thirteen affected states. Tennessee and Florida are up next – 30 July and 31 July respectively! To see the names of all the participating states, Stampin’ Up! products that qualify, and sales tax holiday dates, click here.

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
