Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo Feeling Blue

Happy happy HAWWWMP DAAAAY!!!  Here we go on the downhill side of the week!! Hope yours is going well.

My last couple of cards have been clean-and-simple.  And…I liked them.  I really did.

No – really – that Flowering Cactus Medley is amazing!

But – let’s get real.  CAS isn’t really my jam, right?

So – today, I fell gratefully back into my wheelhouse – with another medley.  This time, it’s the soon-to-be-retiring, gorgeous Boho Indigo Medley!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sketch Saturday challenge this week.

I started with a piece of the Boho Indigo DSP that I matted on Misty Moonlight for the card front. Notice it’s a little shorter than the mat! 😉

Across the bottom edge of the DSP, I wrapped a length of Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim and a length of Misty Moonlight 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon (Retiring Soon!) – securing it all in the back with Glue Dots.

Then I cut two strips of one of the embossed pieces from the Medley – matted them both on Misty Moonlight and adhered them to the card front.

I cut a different embossed panel with the next-to-largest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a Gold Hoop Embellishment (Retiring Soon!) with a couple of Glue Dots.

I stamped the Boho Indigo sentiment in Night of Navy on Very Vanilla and cut it with the next-to-smallest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die.  While I was stamping, I also stamped the three-flower image in Misty Moonlight – and again in stamped-off-once Misty Moonlight.  These I cut with the die in the Boho Indigo die set (yes, that’s right – you get a Stamp Set AND a matching Die Set in this Medley!).

I started my collage by adhering a few die cut leaves – these are included with the Boho Indigo Medley, no cutting required – with Liquid Glue.

I added one of the stamped flower die cuts then popped the sentiment on with Dimensionals.

I added the other stamped flower die cut and then some of the sweet paper flowers from the Boho Indigo Medley with Liquid Glue.

I added a few Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones and the card front was done.

On the inside, I adhered two of the Boho Indigo Medley die cut leaves with Liquid Glue on a Very Vanilla panel – trimming the excess stems with my snips.  I also added a few more of the Holiday Rhinestones.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into my Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got another die cut leaf adhered on the front with Liquid Glue…

…and more Boho Indigo DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Yep – way more my kinda card!  It’s been a minute since I pulled the Boho Indigo Medley out to play – and I remembered how gorgeous it really is!!  The color combo is so classic – and all the “extras” you get are amazing!  Oh – and the REFILL is on SALE right now for just $13.80!!  That’s a 40% savings!!

I hope you like!

No kidding – the pollen is INSANE!! Thanks, Amy !:)

  2. I like. I like the way you take the components and re-configure them for a card that doesn’t look like it came from a kit. Finn seems to be enjoying spring too!

  3. Carolyn

Amazing card! Love the blue and white.

Thank you so much, Carolyn! It’s such a pretty medley of products! 🙂

  4. I love how you used the kit. I’d gladly stroll through the garden with Finn, pollen and all!

You might regret doing that – but HE’D love it! Thank you so much, Karen! 🙂
