Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts Brilliant Butterfly Bijou and FREE Shipping Coming Tomorrow!

Mornin’, y’all!  It’s St Paddy’s Day eve!

Pretty sure there’s no traditional “things” that happen on St Paddy’s Day Eve so if you haven’t prepared anything – you’re good! Well – assuming you’ve got your Green ready to wear tomorrow!

AND – Stampin’ Up! has announced that TOMORROW is especially lucky for all of us – cuz they’re giving all of us FREE SHIPPING on 17 March 2021 on all orders over $50!  Check below for ALL the details, okay!  And then get your ordering fingers all warmed up!! 🙂

I have a card for you today that uses the…wait for it.   Try to guess.  Do NOT read the title of this post.

Okay – I know you totally did.  Yes – it’s the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle and some Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP.  I can’t help it very much! I am pretty enamored of this suite right now – and don’t see that changing any time soon.

Sorry.  Not sorry!

For this one, I paired it with the wunnermus Happy Thoughts stamp set.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the sketch side of this week’s FUSION challenge.

And it has a feminine bent to it, so…

I started with some Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Basic Black for the card front.  Then I added a coordinating strip – also matted on black – at the bottom.

On a piece of wood-design In Good Taste DSP, I stamped the Happy Thoughts sentiment in Bermuda Bay, then cut it out with a Tasteful Labels die.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the label onto the card front.

I had several die cut butterflies in my “scrap bowl”  that I got by using the big die in the Brilliant Wings set to cut the Butterfly Bijou DSP printed images.  SU! was SO smart on this – one die – one sheet of DSP – one pass in your die cutting machine – and…SIX gorgeous BUTTERFLIES!! 🙂

I chose one of the die cut butterflies and then cut the matching-sized detailed butterfly with another die from Brilliant Wings, from a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.  I lightly curled the wings and adhered it to the DSP butterfly with Liquid Glue.

I used Dimensionals under the bottom half of the butterfly and Liquid Glue near the top to adhere it to the sentiment label.

Using my Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend, I colored some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added them to the body of the butterfly and one to the side of the sentiment label.  Then I brushed the wings of the detailed butterfly with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Happy Thoughts sentiment in Bermuda Bay to a Basic White panel.  Remember I told you a while back that I’d cut my Butterfly Brilliance set in to individual stamps?

That makes it easy to stamp single butterflies – so I added a small-ish one over top in stamped-off-once Mint Macaron.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got that same butterfly on the front in full-strength Mint Macaron…

…and more of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I really love the Happy Thoughts stamp set…and SO hope it’s NOT on the Retiring List coming out next week!!  And I’m not even going to wax eloquent about the awesomeness of the Butterfly Bouquet Suite.  You already know!

I hope you like!
