Stampin’ Up! Prettiest Birthday for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Birthdays!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided it was time to ink up a pretty set called…Prettiest Birthday and use the matching Pretty Birthday dies to create a birthday dessert-apalooza!  And – since birthdays seem to demand ice cream with the cake, I used a little Ice Cream Corner DSP.  Take a look-see:

The layout I chose is from the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I turned the sketch on its side…

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock and, using the banner stamp in the Prettiest Birthday set, stamped it five times in Cinnamon Cider. I colored the banners using my Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron and Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then I matted the panel on a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock.

Next up, I use my Stitched Rectangle dies to cut two equal-size pieces of Ice Cream Corner DSP and adhered them to the side of the card with Liquid Glie.

I cut a Rococo Rose circle with a Stitched Shapes Die and added it with Liquid Glue.

On Basic White, I stamped the cake, plate of macarons and flower arrangement images from Prettiest Birthday in Cinnamon Cider.  Then I cut them all with their matching dies in the Happiest Birthday die set.

I colored the images using the Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron and Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Markers.

The sentiment, from Prettiest Birthday, is stamped in Rococo Rose on a strip of Basic White, with a banner end.

I adhered the flower arrangement and then the plate of macarons onto the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I used a Glue Dot to add a bow tied with two lengths of white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.  I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added the cake with DOUBLE-STACKED dimensionals.

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Prettiest Birthday in Cinnamon Cider to a Basic White panel.  Then I added more of the banners in Cinnamon Cider, coloring them as I’d done on the front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cinnamon Cider mat and into my Rococo Rose card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Prettiest Birthday banners on the front…

…and a little more Ice Cream Corner DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how the Prettiest Birthday set and its bundled Happiest Birthday dies are a whole party-in-a-stamp-bundle!  All you need to add is some Ice Cream Corner DSP!

I hope you like!
