Stampin’ Up! Well Suited for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I figured it was maybe time to do a masculine card for you and I even went a little cray cray and made it clean-and-simple.  Well – you know.  CAS for me!   I used the cool Handsomely Suited bundle and some of the coordinating Well Suited DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch!

Several of the elements I included are inspired by The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went across the diagonal (die cut-embossing-blue):

I started with some of the Well Suited DSP that I matted on Basic Black for the card front.

I used a Stitched Rectangle Die – and, by running it thru my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine twice and moving the die – I made a longer Basic White rectangle die cut than I had a die for.

I embossed that die cut in the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the long tie die in the Suit & Tie Dies, I cut a tie from another design in the Well Suited DSP.  I also cut the little top-of-the-tie piece from the same paper.  This piece I popped on the top of the die cut tie with a Stampin’ Dimensional (that was cut in half).

I adhered the tie to the embossed white panel with Liquid Glue.

On another piece of Basic White, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the Handsomely Suited sentiment twice – once in Night of Navy and again in Poppy Parade.

I cut the Night of Navy sentiment using a Stitched Nested Label.  From the Poppy Parade sentiment, I used my Paper Trimmer to cut just the words “Father’s Day”.  I popped that strip onto the larger sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I popped the layered sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, I adhered a Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone onto the tie as a sparkly tie-tac and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a Handsomely Suited tie in Poppy Parade and a second sentiment in Night of Navy to a Basic White panel.  I gave the tie another Holiday Rhinestone Jewel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Handsomely Suited tie in Poppy Parade on the front…

…and more of the Well Suited DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I love the tailored look that you can create with this Handsomely Suited bundle and the Well Suited DSP, don’t you?  It’s ready to help you with all the Father’s Day and masculine birthday cards that you need!

I hope you like!
